Welcome to my first SMITE god guide. In this guide I will be going over where and how I like to play Nu Wa and why I have chose this build over other lack luster builds.
With my build it will take an entire enemy team focusing you to take you down and even then you probably will still get out alive.

My recent history with Nu Wa

and my current worshiper standings with her.
At full build (ie, level 20, all items, all stacks) below will be your in game stats.

The idea for this build came to me as I wanted to find a way to actually make Nu Wa a god to be feared. I wanted her to be hard to kill but also allow her to put out some serious damage. At full build she sits at a comfortable 3550 hp and 2075 mana and a butt ton of protections.
The star of this build is the Ethereal Staff it gives the whole build a purpose. It allows you to build around lots of health and protections and not lose in the magical power at all.
The Shoes of Focus give just the right amount of CDR to continue using abilities throughout team fights.
The Warlock's Sash gives the health needed and extra mana and magical power which will just stack on later in the build. Maxing out the stacks on this is one of the big keys to this build.
The Sovereignty gives a bunch of health and protections which is needed to stay alive and gain magical power.
The Bancroft's Talon gives us magical lifesteal to survive longer but also when we are getting focused down it also gives more magical power to deal a lot of damage that can turn a fight in an instant.
And finally the Rod of Tahuti makes our current magical power increase so much. Once the rod is finished the build is complete and will really surprise someone when you start dealing a lot more damage than you were before.
Pros:
Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat. And, instead of clicking a map, you use WASD to move, dodge, and fight your way through the detailed graphics of SMITE's battlegrounds.

About 99% of all matches end within 40 minutes, with only 4 items completed and maybe pierces of a fifth. Which means you'll be severely lacking in magical power until you get the rod.
I'm not belittling your skills with Nu Wa, but I am saying that the people you faced must not have been very competent.
Also, this guide isn't a guide, it's a build. An incomplete one, at that. Downvote.
