Hey! This is my first god build. So far I have builds for Mid, ADC, Jungle and Arena. I'm very glad you're taking the time to read this and I hope you'll put it into action. Feedback is also appreciated.
The Morrigan's Passive: Doomsayer
Your third basic attack in a chain will do AoE damage to all enemies within 10 units of the basic attack and will damage enemies over time equal to 9% of their maximum health. You don't even have to land your hits for this to work. Hi-Rez. The ****?
The Morrigan's First Ability: Deadly Aspects
The Morrigan creates two clones, and all three strike. This will stun enemies for 1s. A fair damaging ability.
The Morrigan's Second Ability: Dark Omen
The Morrigan's wave clear, which deals bonus damage to minions and even more to gods. It also applies an Omen condition to any god hit. This Omen will last 8s and will cause the next damaging ability of any god to take bonus damage. With my build, the cooldown for this ability is about 5s. This should give you plenty of time to land your next Dark Omen, creating another Omen. Or you could just run up and use Deadly Aspects. No, this is totally fine.
The Morrigan's Third Ability: Confusion
There's not too much to say about this ability. It's pretty much Loki's invisibility and his clone in one ability, the only difference being the clone walks to the location and will disappear if it's damaged. The Morrigan creates a clone to distract her enemies. She gains bonus movement speed.
The Morrigan's Ultimate: Changeling
The Morrigan can change into any god on the map. This will copy their current items, and their current health/mana. You can use any of their abilities. This ability will likely get nerfed, simply because their's too much versatility in it's use. In a tough spot? change into a tank and walk away. Want to chase? Turn into Loki or Ao Kuang or Thanatos. Why have one Khepri Buff when you can have two people saved? Why have one Terra Buff when you can have two global buffs? The choices are endless. Not to mention it has an 80s cooldown at max level.
Pros:
High Area Damage
High Health for a Mage
Low Cooldowns
High Movement Speed for a Mage
Cons:
Low Mana
Low Attack Speed
No Immediate getaway ability
Shoes of Focus
While Shoes of the Magic is a fair item to use, the focus of my build is mana, which The Morrigan falls short in. This will also give a bonus to Book of Thoth.
Chronos' Pendant
This is a useful item for The Morrigan because of its cdr and mps.
Book of Thoth
The Morrigan is super mana hungry, because of her low cooldowns and the cost of her abilities early on. This item fixes that problem, and when paired with other mana items, makes her unstoppable.
Polynomicon/Divine Ruin
What every good mage needs is a bit of lifesteal, and these items both provide mana as well. I recommend Polynomicon over Divine Ruin, but both have their merits.
Obsidian Shard/Spear of Desolation
These two items give magical penetration. Obsidian Shard is more useful against tanks, and Spear of Desolation can lower Changeling's cooldown.
Hide of the Urchin/Rod of Tahuti/Soul Reaver
These items all provide mana, except Rod, which gives mps. Soul Reaver isn't entirely necessary, as The Morrigan's passive does it already.
Mid Tips
After clearing a lane, move to take down a mid side camp. Decide, then send a clone to the opposite camp you plan to go to, and your opponent may move to contest it. So then you don't have any skirmishes for xp. You could do the same thing when you need to recall, and your opponent won't know where you are, until you return. You could use dark omen to clear a wave, and if you plan it right, hit the opposing mid laner, then send a clone to the opposite side of the lane you're going to go, and hit your enemy with three aspects from behind. When rotating, send a clone, the opposite direction of where you want to rotate to.
ADC and Jungle tips coming soon.
