Introduction

Whats up fellow Smiters? First SmiteFire here. Ive been taking the game a little more seriously as of late and found a real solid build for Terra. Open to comments and suggestions.

I just recently started using her since Im earning the characters one by one. There isnt any one 1 way to play Terra, but I have noticed people building her as a strict tank more often lately. Her 3(the move that heals/damages over time)as well as all of her moves (durr)are based on MP so a pure tank build doesnt help her heal or hurt/distract as much as the match progresses.

What you see below is what I feel is a well balanced set of 6 items that gives you MP/CDR/MPro and PPro/ Auras for your teammates.

Skills

Her skills are fairly straightforward and her Passive is crazy helpful. The only tip Ill put here is that when you throw down the healing stone(3, Monolith Stone), as long as the enemy doesnt destroy it, let it stay for almost the full 5s then shatter the stone with Force of Nature(2) to provide AOE damage for the additional 5s. That will provide you with 9 total seconds of coverage. Once you get your +30% CDR you will be able throw another Monolith before the damaging area is gone.

Items

1) Chronos' Pendant--I know the traditional route is to get Shoes of Focus as your first core item for the +40 MP/+250 mana/+10%CDR/+18% movement speed. As long as youre with a solid Carry, its worth holding out until you can buy the Tier 2 item for Chronos' Pendant. The additional MP and MP5 will allow you heal your Carry and chip the enemy more. As soon as you can afford Chronos' Pendant go to base. It takes a little bit longer to get but now youre sitting at +75 MP/+25MP5/+20% CDR at level 5 or 6. With the MP5 you wont need to waste money on Mana potions anymore(allowing you to spend money on other key items), the additional power will help you heal/chip damage more, and the early 20% CDR will make a significant difference healing more frequently.

2)Spirit Robe-- A lot of people like to get Hide of the Urchin or Breastplate of Valor as the second item. That is for tankier builds and although definitely useful, in this build Terra gets her defense from other items. Spirit Robe is here to provide an additional 10%CDR on top of the +40 MPro /+40 PPro/+20 CCR. Between your first two Core items youre sitting at +30% CDR. AURAZ GAIN AN ADDITIONAL 15% DMAGE MITIGATION FOR 3s WHENEVER YOU ARE HIT WITH A CROWD CONTROL EFFECT, ONCE EVERY 15s.
**Keep in mind, going the traditional route of Shoes of Focus then Breastplate of Valor still puts you at +30% CDR, but this build provides you with more protections and power for healing.**


3)Lotus Crown--Gives you +60 MP/+30PPro/+20 MP5. This will put you at 135MP/ a total of 70PPro/ and 45MP5. You wont run low on mana for the rest of the match. A strong secondary reason for this item is the Aura it gives. AURA--ANY GOD AFFECTED BY YOUR ABILITY HEALS GAINS +20MPro AND +20MPro FOR 5s.


By this point your Core is set. The order of the rest of the items really depends on what youre having problems with first. If youre running into a lot of Magical damage on the lane get Magical protections, and so on.

4)Sovereignty--Youve built up your MPro for your teammates, time to contribute to their PPro. This item gives +200H/ +30PPro with an Aura. AURA--ALL ALLIES WITHIN 70 UNITS GAIN +30PPro and +25HP5

5)Heartward Amulet--For those annoying powerful mages, this will provide more proection for you and your teammates. +45MPro/ +200H. AURA--ALL ALLIES WITHIN 70 UNITS GAIN +20MPro/ +20MP5.

6)Mantle of Discord--This 6th item truly depends on how you want to cap off. If you want straight defense, this where you want to be. For more of a healing tank you can substitute his for Rod of Asclepius.

Relics-- I normally run Meditation and Shell(pure Keep-Your-Teammates-Alive build

Summary

In summation I feel this build is a good balance of MP for healing and chip damage, and plenty of Auras to sustain you and your allies.

There are a ton of Pros, and the only real Con is that it takes a little longer to get started, but thats the same with most Guardians. Im sure there are other Cons to be noted and I look forward to reading your suggestions amd comments. Im always open to hear advice on how to get better. Thank you and thanks for reading
