Hello all, this guide is a work in progress based off an item build inspired by a tanky agni build my friend found here. I have the item set down pat, I just don't have the ORDER set in stone yet...
This set is designed to surprise the hell out of anyone expecting you to be squishy for how much damage you are putting out, and is uniquely viable on Ao Kuang thanks to his passive.
with this build you can have stellar defenses, while still easily topping 400 Magical Power. What you sacrifice is a little bit of your damage output, but you gained enough survivability to not only escape bruisers that normally demolish you, but also if played correctly you can even pull off an unexpected kill on someone who -thought- they had an easy kill sitting in front of them.
This also allows you to play more of a supportive roll, being able to set down a tornado on a fleeing ally and hitting them with your slow, while not leaving yourself entirely vulnerable to attack afterwards.
As I said, the build order isn't really set in stone save for my first picks (WS and rank 1 BoC into Bov)
Pros:
-GREATLY improves survivability, one of Ao's biggest shortcomings
-Allows for more flexibility for placing down skills
-Great for a more support-style gameplay instead of all out nuke
-Completely unexpected and usually throws your enemies off guard
Cons:
-Loses some of his bite (though 400MP is still nothing to laugh at)
-Best used if there is another dedicated nuke/ranged AD carry
-Have to listen to your teammates complain about you playing Ao Kuang
Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat. And, instead of clicking a map, you use WASD to move, dodge, and fight your way through the detailed graphics of SMITE's battlegrounds.
