Intro

Hello Smite players and community. I haven't played Smite in a little bit, but I played a couple days ago and decided to try and play Susano Solo. They way that i built and played was amazing. He is definitely one of my top gods, which consist of Anubis, Loki, and Nemesis. By the end of the game my final score was 36/16/10. The game details are here http://smite.guru/match/hr/252520264 . It was an amazing game and I decided to play a few more afterwards. They were not as good due to teammates not following roles but i did perfectly fine by my own standpoint. Please, try this build and me know how you like it. Also follow me on Twitch.tv/shadowraze96 where my schedule is random but I do stream Smite alot. Without further ado lets dive right into this!

About Susano

Susano. The Japanese God of the Summer Storm. Like his sister, Amaterasu, Susano was born to rule, but he was tempestuous, with a flaring anger, wicked tongue, and a penchant for destruction. Their father, Izanagi, would have none of it and decreed that Susano live in the Underworld. His mood dark at this news, Susano committed heinous acts of vandalism and murder. Acts that sent Amaterasu into shameful hiding.

Cast low, Susano descended to earth on his way to the Underworld. He carried only his Ten-Span Sword, and regret for his actions. What had his defilements achieved but to envelop the world in darkness? This was his nature, to broil like a storm, to frighten and destroy what stood in his path.

But a storm could also herald life.

At a river side, Susano ventured upon an elderly couple, weeping and cradling their young daughter. Eight children, they'd had once, but now only one remained; seven devoured by the eight-headed serpent. Susano was resolved. To atone for his crimes, to prove his father wrong, to better himself, Susano would slay this beast.

Eight traps he laid, one for each head of the creature, with eight tubs of aromatic saké as bait. Slithering forward, the Orochi spread its gruesome heads to drink from the trapped tubs. Susano cut the rope. Gates dropped. The heads were imprisoned. One by one, he chopped the eight necks, until only the wriggling tail remained. Sweeping his blade split the reptilian hide, leaving notches in his blade but revealing a brilliant sword inside: the Kusanagi-no-Tsurugi.

To his sister, he gave the blade. An act of atonement, but not an apology. His true nature would never change, but his intention could.

Though seen on the battlefield of the Gods, Susano's fight is not truly against those foes, but within himself. He is a raging summer storm, struggling to focus that destructive power at evil, and atoning when the innocent are harmed.

He comes into Smite as a Melee Assassin. His Pros are that he has High mobility along with high Crowd Control. He is not too hard to play for an person who is familiar with Smite, but to new players i recommend you stick with Fenrir or Loki. If you do not own him his costs are 11,000 favor and 200 gems.

Abilities

Lets start off with the abilities of this wonderful god. I will start name each ability, what it does, and then my basic overview of what its mainly used for. Bare with me please and lets do this!

Susano's Passive is called Swift as the Summer Storm. It reads "For each trained Ability that is on Cooldown, Susano gains bonus Movement Speed.". To me, this passive goes along very well with the build that i came up with. It helps escape and catch up to to/from the enemy when needed. For each ability on cooldown he gains 4% movement speed, which is plenty in my book to help me catch someone. Think about this, your ultimate is not gonna always be up, hell most of your abilities have generally long cooldowns, with this passive it will be easy to have an extra 12%-16% extra movement speed along with the the movement speed of items as Wind Demon, Bloodforge, Stone Cutting Sword, Golden Bow, ect. With this passive, I believe it reflects the kind of character Hi-Rez meant to build Susano. So good job Hi-rez!!

Susano's First Ability is called Storm Kata and my God does it do some wild things. Its description reads "Susano moves thrice in quick succession; after each attack he has up to 3s to fire the next one.

First Attack: Attacks all Enemies in a cone.

Second Attack: Attacks all Enemies in a circle.

Third Attack: Dashes forward."
Like damn Hi-Rez! Back at it again with Op abilities! Are you trying to make a god more OP than Bellona on release day? Oh wait, Fafnir ain't out yet lol. Anyway, the Damage of this ability is pretty intense for taking a chunk of health, with the third being a dash to either get away or get closer to the foe. The Damage Per Hit: 70/105/140/175/210 (+90% of your physical power). Like my total power is 464.55 with items and max level into calculations. So I'm hitting for 731(not calculating enemies protections) twice then I'm dashing too them to finish them off. One ability, one button, VVGG. At least with patch 3.10 they are fixing the Bluestone Pendant bug which procs on each hit. The cooldown on this ability is 16/15/14/13/12 seconds respectively which works pretty well with his passive. Overall this ability will probably get hit again with a nerf so for now lets enjoy it :)

Susano's Second Ability is called Wind Siphon. Have you ever played an assassin in solo lane or even just jungling but ever foe on the map is tower humping so they don get ganked or out played? Ever just wanna reel them in so you don't have to go full scale Rambo on their *** to kill them? Well don't worry, this ability helps a lot for those problems. It reads "Susano commands the winds to blow, dealing damage in a cone in front of him.

Enemies in the center of the attack are pulled towards him. "
So yeah, Susano gets pissed and says "Wind!! Bring that fool hither, so that I may slay him!" Pretty great move. Now the crazy part on it is that it does damage. Not a whole lot but enough to help with that chunk taken out by Storm Kata. Its damage scaling is 60/75/90/105/120 (+25% of your physical power) so it'll hit with my physical power being 403.5 at about 281 damage, which isn't too bat but with his 1 ability, you use the combo 2+1= 1,743 (again not calculating protections) damage with every hit nailed. Its cooldown is 18 seconds at all ranks so lets say it helps out with the passive as well.

Susano's Third Ability is called Jet Stream. Its description reads "Susano throws forward a gust of air which creates a whirlwind, dealing damage every .75s for 3s.

He may activate this ability again to teleport to the whirlwind.

If the initial gust hits an Enemy, the whirlwind surrounds and travels with them, and teleporting to the Enemy reduces this cooldown to 6s. "
So with another scenario, every been so slow that you can catch the enemy? Hun Batz said its no problem for him at all so Susano decided to take a lesson in his book and came up with this move. First off it does damage. Its scaling is Damage Per Tick: 20/35/50/65/80 (+30% of your physical power). When it hits every tick with the estimated power, it will nicely hit 154 damage per tick and at .75s a proc for 3 seconds, this thing finishes off with about 616 damage by the end of its damage phase. It's not a whole lot, but if you have already whopped the dude with the ole 2+1 and add the extra +3 on there scared way out, your hitting that fool for about 2,359 damage. Not only is that a lot but this guy uses Hun Batz special technique and teleports to the poor guy as long as he hits in again in the 3's. Can I just say R.I.P.? Now you don't have to hit an enemy with it, you can simply throw it out in the middle of the lane to get away from someone or something, but BE WARNED! THIS ABILITY WILL NOT GO THROUGH WALLS. So its a great escape but not that great. It's cooldown is 17/16/15/14/13 seconds minus the six if you successfully hit an enemy and teleport to them. so lets fix it about 11/10/9/8/7 seconds for damage wise. Its a great escape, but its also a great gap closer.

Susano's Fourth and Ultimate Ability is called Typhoon. Its description reads " Susano says **** it and floods the entire map with a horrifyingly strong Typhoon, Winning the game"... Okay no not really but it does say " Susano summons a hurricane at his location that pulls Enemies towards the center while growing to up to twice its size.

Susano may activate this ability again to launch the storm in the direction he is facing, knocking up opponents in its path." I'm gonna be honest with you guys, I only use this ability for initiation of attack or defensively to get my or my allies *** out of there. It's damage scales with Damage: 175/225/275/325/375 (+140% of your physical power). So it hits pretty hard and not just that but you can toss it like a hot potato and through *****es up in the air. With the before power, it will hit for 1,247 damage. Now that is on point where you summon it, but also whoever it hits when you throw it. It's a pretty big line toss so it is not hard to hit opponents and will go through walls. It's cooldown is 100 seconds which is normally what every ones ult cooldown is, but with his passive you will always have that extra 4% handy movement speed.

Items

I'm going to explain exact reason why i chose the items i chose and about each specific way to build them. You start a Conquest match with 1500 gold, so we will start with our starter items.
Starter Items 1:
Bluestone Pendant: Right now this is a great first item if you are into the type of play. It procs on abilities that do damage, dealing an extra 30 damage for 2s stacking twice for a total of 60 extra physcial damage. It also give 100 mana which helps early game for Transcendence and 15 Physical power base on the item. It cost 800 gold and definitely helps out with clearing minions and doing extra damage to you laning enemy.

Hidden Dagger: This item alone just sucks. It give 5% Critical Chance and a whopping 10 Physical damage. Its not a very good standalone item but what it builds into later on is what your aiming for. If you decide to go with Blustone Pendant but decide against buying Hidden Dagger right off the bat, i will not blame you, you can use the extra gold to buy out 5/5 potions for health/mana, maybe even a damage potion. That part of play will be your decision and yours alone. It cost 670 gold.

All together these items will cap you out at 1470 gold, leaving no more gold to purchase anything else for the time being.

Starter Items 2:
Throwing Dagger: Throwing Dagger is a tier 2 item that is a step up of Hidden Dagger. The reason you want this item is because of its passive which does 25% damage to surrounding enemy Gods and 50% damage to surrounding minions and jungle camps. You have to hit something in order for it to work, but by God it helps clearing those minions out faster. It costs 450 gold if you have Hidden Dagger and 1350 gold standalone. I suggest getting this first thing and buying 2 health potion and a mana potion to cap out gold. It makes for great lane clear with healing and mana regen not counting blue mana buff.

Core Build (Early to Mid-Game):
Now lets get started on the build itself. Whether you picked starter 1 or starter 2, either way you are going to build into the first item:
Golden Bow: 55 Physical Power, 8% movement speed, and a passive for hurting surrounding enemies, why would you not want this item first thing? It cost 980 to upgrade it from Throwing Dagger and 2330 on standalone. This item will be replaced by End-Game ( See Endgame Item Replacements) but it helps a lot up until that point.

Transcendence: 35 Physical power, 300 mana, +6 on MP5 and a passive for stacking up more mana and converting damage. This item is a normal must get for a lot of physical gods. It stacks up to 50 times and the stacks are permanent, giving 15 mana a stack. It is better not to underestimate this item for it will surely be a power boost to any physical God. It is second on the list because you normally want to build your stacks before Mid-Game at all costs. Now you can take the risk of building this item later, but you have no guarantee that you will make it to farm the stacks which is why i advise making it 2nd on your purchase list.

Stone Cutting Sword: Where to begin with this. If you don't mind losing the attack speed from The Executioner then you will definitely want this bad boy. 50 physical power, 10% movement speed, and its passive lets you cut 10 physical protection off the target and add it to your own stacking up to 3 times and lasting 3s. This item is amazing for catching up to people and surviving. Mix it with The Executioner and you have a pretty solid protection shredder. Buy it as soon as possible with 2900 gold. I would buy it 3rd for the fact that I need it ASAP but need to start stacking Transcendence before that.

Wind Demon: 2600 gold. In the same tree as Golden Bow. Gives 40 physical power and 20% crit. Sold! It's passive is also a must have for every crit gives you 20% movement speed (not stacking) for 5 second!!
Who needs the old Hastened Fatalys crit build when your crit items give the Hastened Fatalys feel?

Bloodforge: This item has went through a new relapse of what it is... And I like it... A lot. Giving me 75 Physical Power, 15% Life-steal, a shield for killing people with 20% movement speed for 20s, and only costing 2850? Yeah I know that's a lot, but it is totally worth having in this build both defensively and offensively. Imagine that one tower dive you did to get the kill only to die right before getting out of the towers range. Well no more, we get a 200 shield plus more with each level we are to get in, **** *****es, get money, and get out. It is a great way to really help yourself, and when your low from that team fight and run into the jungle, kill some camps for health with the life-steal!

Deathbringer: Okay so this is the last item on the list before End-game mahem come. This gives 50 physical power 20% crit chance, and wait for it.... 40 percent increase on damage with crits!! This is my go to item on any physical god that gets crit built. It costs 3200 gold which is a **** ton but by mid game if you aren't smashing the opposing team you don't deserve this item.

Now here are a few items that I believe should replace Golden Bow because its a great item, but you don't need it when you can one shot the wave with an ability alone. I'm not going to go into detail since this will be your preference or situation but I will label them to their respective uses.

Mana: Breastplate of Valor, Hide of the Nemeon Lion, Hide of the Urchin, Jotunn's Wrath. These items give their own specials but help out with extra damage with Transcendence.

Penetration: Quin's Sais, Masamune, Asi, Void Shield, Jotunn's Wrath, The Executioner. These items are for if you need more than Stone Cutting Sword to break throught the enemy teams defenses.

Attack Speed: Quin's Sais, Soul Eater, Asi, Witchblade, The Executioner. For uses if you want to get crits faster or do overall damage faster.

Protections: Genji's Guard, Breastplate of Valor, Ancile, Mantle of Discord, Bulwark of Hope, Shifter's Shield, Witchblade, Midgardian Mail, Void Shield, Hide of The Nemion Lion, Hide of the Urchin. Self Explanatory, use if you need more survivabilty.

Cooldown: Genji's Guard, Breastplate of Valor, Ancile, Mantle of Discord, Hydras Lamant, Mail of Renewal, Jotunn's Wrath. If you feel you need some cooldown to use abilities more.

Health: Bulwark of Hope, Midgardian Mail, Hide of the Urchin, Mail of Renewal. If you feel like you just need more health.

Lifesteal: Soul Eater, Asi. Because sometime Bloodforge isn't enough and you just need more to survive a fight.

Power: Quin's Sais, Malice, Masamune, Ancile, Shifters Shield, Void Shield, Hydra's Lament, Jotunn's Wrath, The Executioner. For the times when you don't think you have enough.

Crit: Malice. Because why not more Crit?

Early Game

Once you have decided which items you are gonna with, head over to the Speed buff with your Jungler. Help him get his buff so he will help you get your buff. When you have the Mana buff head to lane, your jungler will decide if he will join you or go to middle lane, either way it matters not. Use your Storm Kata ability to weaken the minions and finish them off with auto-attacks to get your gold. Try not to leave your lane unless your enemy lane partner is dead or you know he backed to base. You should be able to last to level 5 without backing once, even farther if you are more conservative. Try to bully your opponent as much as possible but while keeping minions in check, you don't want to get overwhelmed with minions beating your *** for hitting their boss. At first it will be a little hard but get a kill or farm the minions a bit and i guarantee you will be doing fine. Keep in lane until Mid game, which is normally when everyone is around level 12 or when the first row of towers are gone on one side ( either your teams or you opponents team).

Mid Game

It's mid-game. Everyone still able to do their own things but you kind of want to group up every now and again to try and get objectives like gold fury or even team fights. Susano helps a lot with team fights, with his ult, 2, and 1 dealing a lot of damage and Crowd Control. Keep this way until close to everyone being 18 or has all towers gone on one side. If yours are gone, skip to End-Game. If your opponents are gone, try split pushing for extra gold and xp to finish your build and get to level 20.

End-Game

Its end-game. How can you tell? Well most likely all your teams Towers are gone or everyone on your team is level 18-20. Your gonna want to group up at this phase. No more loner. No more sacrifices. This is when things get intense and one little screw up can cost the entire game. At this phase, you want to kill Fire Giant as much as possible to either catch up or go for the win, but make sure that your enemy teams ADC and main Mage is dead, otherwise they can steal the buff from your team, causing a lot of Uh-Oh moments. Destroy the enemies front line phoenixes and push fire minions in to kill the Titan and the Victory is your. If your on a more defensive standpoint, try to focus the squishy but a lot of damage enemies so that they get long respawn times for your team to take out Fire Giant or towers or whatever needs to be done. Dont forget to still get the buff you need and to always buy Elixer of Power, Elixer of Defense, and Power Potion when your build is done so you can pull the maximum amount of damage against your foes.

Post-Game

When the game is over, win or lose, don't spam laugh or taunt, tell your teammates Good Game or vvgg, and in the lobby chat on the win/loss screen tell your opponents good game. Don't start any unnecessary arguments. They may be on your next team and could cause the game to be non-fun for not cooperating.
