Fail not is good on her?
Jotunn's wrath with no Titan's bane option?
Saw Incon pick it up late game on a recent Medusa game. And even if he was having fun choosing it, it's not like he was trolling with the pick...never said it's the best option, just saying it has function that can be used well depending on build direction.
And no, got nothing to do with SPL. The item is straight up no good, just like Tyrannical Helm.
Thing is, I'm trying to keep an open mind. We've seen some wildly different build paths built by even the pros (for different roles also, not just hunters), and having success. I mean my god, we've even seen BaRRa build freaking SOV. On HUNTERS. (Again yes, this is in ranked play, not SPL, but there is NO ONE HERE that is at that level so I don't think we need to worry about that)
To me, saying something isn't viable when it's clear the stats aren't necessarily bad is unimaginative, uninspired, and short-sighted. Fail-Not can work, Malice can work, Atalanta's can work. 0 power items in crit builds can work even if it's not optimal. I think we need to tailor our responses with that in mind.
Malice and Fail-Not are just outclassed by better options, there's almost no reason to build them, and only in certain cases / gods can you get away with it.
But I was on the fence about fail not. Thanks for taking the time to explain. If authors would put more explanations into their off meta item choices, we could give better feedback rather than having to speculate.
However, I think overall this build could if he replaced shoes with something like Asi and got qins as last item. Still not fully optimizee, as I think it'd be better to go
Trans
Boots
Asi
But you get the point. He has flat pen from Asi, crusher, beat stick, and he has the AA from exe and qins
I get it, you'll always get that troll game where the enemies go full squishy and it won't be worth picking up TB, but for standard enemy comps, it should be listed
