Deathbane

1 X
Serqet dashes three times from side to side, dealing damage and applying Deathbane Poison to each enemy hit. Deathbane Poison reduces a target's physical protection for a short time, after which it remains in a lingering dormant state for 20s.

Serqet is immune to knockup while dashing. This ability can critical hit.

Serqet launches her two blades forward, dealing damage and applying the Cobra's Kiss Poison.

Cobra's Kiss Poision drives gods to madness, forcing them to attack nearby allies, doing the damage again, or walk harmlessly towards Serqet. After the madness, Cobra's Kiss remains in a lingering dormant state for 20s.

The poison deals true damage to the target over the next 5s, and prevents them from healing. If an enemy dies while infected with Last Breath, they will explode, applying the poison to all enemies within 20 units.

Introduction

This is my first build for smite so any improvements are welcome! Serqet is played very differently on assault compared to other modes as she would normally be considered a 1v1 goddess and few 1v1 opportunities exist in assault matches.

On assault, Serqet should begin the match in the support role. There will be very little space to secure kills in the beginning of the game so you should use your 2 to help keep team mates alive and to secure them kills.

By supporting the team early on, and staying alive, you can then start building her as a more traditional critical hit assassin, and will likely end up carrying the team by the end of the game.

Items

Stone of Gaia - This item provides Serqet with important early game sustain with the boost to Health, HP5 and MP5. The passive health regeneration also helps to keep you almost always at high health which will be important when playing support.

Deathbringer - A must have for Serqet. She relies on dealing damage from critical hits from her 1 and so this item boosts damage output significantly.

Jotunn's Wrath - Another important item for Serqet - the cooldown reduction is very useful especially early-mid game when you'll be playing a more supportive role allowing you to spam your 2 and 4 much more often. There's a nice physical power buff too.

Bloodforge - Good boost to power and the lifesteal helps with survivability. The passive helps you to dash in, get a kill, and get out relatively unscathed.

Spirit Robe - The cooldown reduction here is the main reason for buying this item, but the bonus protections are very useful for assault where there will likely be multiple enemies attacking at once.

Warrior Tabi - The power and movement speed boost will make chasing down enemies much easier late game when pushing for a win.

Sovereignty - When playing against 4+ physical gods the extra physical protection can come in handy, especially if your team is lacking a tank-type god. The passive helps to keep all of your team alive and as an early-game Serqet this will be essential as you will easily be killed on your own.

Breastplate of Valor - Huge boost to physical protections and the cooldown reduction means you become even more mobile.

Heartward Amulet - When playing against 4+ magical enemy gods the extra magical protection can come in handy, especially if your team is lacking a tank-type god. The passive helps to keep all of your team alive and as an early-game Serqet this will be essential as you will easily be killed on your own.

Runic Shield - Extra power and defence and a useful passive for taking down a magic-heavy team.

Bulwark of Hope - If the magical enemies are becoming too much of a problem, pick this up instead of runic shield.

Meditation - A must have for assault. Due to not being able to return to the fountain to heal, the health and mana boost will provide you with important sustain.

Sanctuary - Useful when targeted by a high damage output god.

Purification - Useful when playing against gods with hard CC abilities like Ares and Hades.

Skills

Passive - Catalyst
If Serqet attacks an opponent who is already afflicted by 2 or 3 of her poisons (applied by 1, 2 and 4 abilities), they take extra damage from the next basic attack. This is very useful in quickly killing squishy gods with the combo 2-1-Basic attack or 4-2-1-Basic attack.

1. Deathbane
This should be maxed out second and will be your main damage-dealing ability. This ability can critical hit hence the importance of building critical hit chance. Try to use this at minimum range so as to hit the enemy as many times as possible. This can be made easier by using your 2 ability to cause opponents to walk towards you.

2. Cobra's Kiss
This should be maxed first and will be your primary support ability. Use it early game to poke enemies and deal damage as well as to protect your team mates.

3. Ambush
This ability should be used purely as an escape for the majority of the game and should be maxed last.

4. Last Breath
Early-mid game you won't be getting many kills so try to use this ability to throw enemies into your team mates/towers, or use it on low-health gods to secure a kill for the team.

Pros / Cons

Pros
Huge potential late game.
Can support team.
Good poke.
2 good escapes.

Cons
Slow start.
Relies on good team mates.
CC kills her easily as she relies on abilities to escape.

Summary

To summarise, early-game Serqet should be played as a support character. Use your 2 to poke enemies and defend attacked team mates, and use your 1 and 3 as escapes. Ultimate low health enemies and throw them at your team mates, or at your enemies if they're going to die to spread the poison.

Mid game you should continue to support your team and rely on their aid for getting kills, but use your 1 as a more offensive ability rather than an extra escape, and aim to deal more damage.

Late game you should be powerful enough to be securing your own kills.

I like your idea of putting Gaia's Stone, Sovereignty, or Heartward Amulet in the build BUT I really don't think Rage has a use in the build seeing as how affective DeathBringer is. I would say replace Rage with some sort of life steal.

I've tried swapping out rage for blood forge and this proved to be a good alternative. The life steal helps you to recover from the high damage attacks from many mages in late game and the shield it creates upon getting a kill helps you to jump in, get a kill, and escape relatively unscathed.
