Intro

For starters, Loki solo isn't typically considered a good role for Loki to play. It was in season 3 considered the role he did best in, but he was never really considered good in the role. This is somewhat still valid. Loki solo can however be a good addition to your team in the right circumstances. I will explain as I go along to help you achieve the recent winrate I've achieved lately. My last 20 games I've won 17 out of 20. I solo queue and don't play ranked, but these are rather nice win rates and I hope to help fellow loki players in achieving less frustration when playing this character in conquest.

Items

I have put multiple items in each slot and I'm going to explain the reasons as to why, some of them go against popular Loki builds, but hear me out before judging.
Item 1: warrior tabi, I build t2 boots, Mana chalice, and 5 multi pots. Bluestone doesn't help with your clear since your leveling your decoy and focusing on that. Rangdas is an option but it provides less sustain and can draw out the time to get online. Sometimes it can be worth, but that will be a different guide.
Item 2: jotuns, a little extra Mana, some cdr power and pen, the perfect item for what we want to accomplish
Item 3: this is where things differently a little. Typically you will notice one of two things. Thing 1 your enemy laner camps lane, thing 2 your enemy laner rotates to mid. Pick heartseaker for camping and crusher for if he's rotating. I'll explain why in a later chapter.
Item 4: pick the choice you didn't pick for item 3
Item 5: hastened, the logic. It has attack speed and stops basic attack penalty so you have max reaction time to escape. The movement speed is also nice.
Items 6: due to your pen your speed and your attack speed. The only thing you really lack is extra power. I personally either go bloodforge or hydras here. But the protection reduction from void can be devastating to enemy adc. Hydras gives you that extra kick to your burst and some extra cdr.

Skills

Skill order is simple.
Max your 2 (yes max, auto attacking the Tanky ones is a waste of time for a little extra damage from your 1 or 3)
You want 1 point to vanish at lvl 2. 1 in ult at lvl 6 unless you have to use it for escape at 5. Max your 2 next then 1. Ult last.
Reasoning (with this build you want to focus on rotation and escaping. Vanish is slightly better damage than aimed strike but Mana cost goes up and not really that worth as you will use vanish offer for travel.

Your checklist of little battles to win

1: decoy the wave as close to the enemy fountain as you can while ensuring your survival. I like blink, as you can escape and also blink over certain walls to achieve getting past a passing enemy or escaping after first decoy. Decoy again in their tower to ensure your wave goes under tower if they don't want to stand in front of it.
2: get Mana buff, help jung get speed
3: get fire eles with jung (if jug don't help then get minis and get back to lane)
4: proceed to vanish.. run past solo laner.. decoy and retreat
(If you can proxy farm the wave (behind tower decoy in first step) then do so, till your rank 5 decoy you will need to decoy 2-3 times to full clear)
5a: after getting your third item you will know if your enemy laner is a lane camper or an over rotater. This is where your checklist deviates a bit. If your enemy laner has pitched his tent, you secure buffs, back, get heart seaker and begin going down the side of mid lane. You want to pressure mid. Ult him in your decoy for max pain, hit him with auto then aim strike auto vanish and run. You cause the camper to be forced to rotate if you do this a couple times. Use this to force him off his tower when you get crusher. Take his tower.
5b: enemy laner rotates too much into other lanes. Punish him by getting crusher 3rd item and taking his tower. It makes him stay in lane to defend
6: making use of teleport to ward you will begin alternating between attacking left and right lanes. If enemy solo is defending solo.. pressure mid, gank duo, push tower if possible, if not.. teleport back to solo and take that one.
7:continue to run from 2v2s and 1v2s. Continue random harassment of other lanes. Avoiding team fights (you don't want to be part of team fights, you just want to cause empty lanes/split push defending) this will help with that, causing ppl to be annoyed causes mistakes. If they group up, hope your team takes it to left or right and hope they live while you take towers/pheonix.
8: continue harrasment. Kill any lone Squishies that come to defend the split push, teleport from tanks to opposite lane, steal buffs and deffend their push while pushing the lane your on. They grouped up to take pheonix in mid? Decoy mid minions to stop their minions from tanking shots and keep pushing. Eventually.. they will 3 man gank. Just do your best to survive and pick off the Squishies. Survival>kill. The more ilusive you are.. the more it will drive enemies to mistakes. (Great tactic is to push left spam attack left.. push to pheonix on right and run to left. Let enemy see you running left. Make sure you have ward on right and teleport there from left lane to push when they think your near team pushing left. You will bamboozle to victory. Max bamboozle and jukes is key. gl your checklist

Pros / Cons

Pros:
Great tower deletion
Great escape
Great kill potential on squishes
Great general safety due to escapes and being able to 1v1 most Squishies
Great for causing attempted 3 man ganks and putting your team in 4v2-3 situations
Great at preventing a bad teamate from feeding (steal his farm to minimize gol/xp for kill)
Great at causing enemy to split waves due to tanks/split pushing

Cons
Easy to play, hard to master
Can get caught out by 3 man ganks if your aren't used to running and they gank when you don't have ult
You can't fight tanks
You can't save teamates.. avoid team fights
You don't defend well late game. Early game decoy is fine but late, not much you can do. You want to avoid fighting anything but a squish and you want them to chase.
