Hiiii! How's it going? This is my first guide/build so expect there to be a few kinks so some criticism would be helpful! xD
Now, onto the actual intro, I really enjoy playing as Skadi. I like to think she's unique to the hunters because of Kaldr alone. He is seriously a game changer. This build focuses on Skadi's damage per basic attack, not attack speed. Why do this? Rune of the Hunt. At rank 4, Kaldr gains 100% of your basic AA, pretty much doubling your AA damage. Kaldr doesn't gain your attack speed, however. So to maximise Kaldr's output, I maximised Skadi's AA (I think) and this works really well. Rage still keeps high crit rates, and Qin's Sais is there just to keep a bit of attack speed and has high AA damage, but other options like Asi give Pen, plus some pretty good recovery, to stay in the fight.
Pros:
First of all, you know that tactic where Loki vanishes and just stands there, scaring opponents back? Well, the same here. Just send Kaldr after a God and normally they retreat. Easy push
Now Skadi is a great Jungler. Her "Ice Rink" through a wall for a set up, send out Kaldr and Piercing Cold for slow. Also, if you don't know if an enemy is on the lane, use the cursor from your 2 to look past the wall. If the red square appears, taahh-daaah. Use this to monitor your opponent, and wait to surprise them.
Its always best to keep Kaldr on full health. He needs it to get close enough for a kill, and to set up you Ult. So I tend to attack Jungle Camps first, then sending out Kaldr. Also, Kaldr is extremely vulnerable to damage per tick, so recall him whenever you see a DpT incoming, and always call him back if he has a chance of dying.
Your ultimate as Skadi has unlimited range, as long as Kaldr is near an enemy. Always use it when an enemy is INSIDE the radius. This enables the root to proc, letting you get the most out of the DoT aura and Kaldr's invulnerability (I have i feeling i spelled that wrong)
If you see a guaranteed kill, make sure Kaldr gets it. This way, Kaldr can get hits back, and thus increasing his usefulness.
Ultimate can be used and root can be proc'd when Kaldr is on no health. This is good for surprising the opponent, especially melee attackers.
