Overview

Ravana is in the warrior class but is most effective when played as an assassin. While in the jungle he makes great use of movement speed and damage with a small amount of defense due to his built in tankiness/sustain. Utilizing his passive is key to surviving longer in fights because of the shield.

Abilities

I level Ravana’s 3 first because of the damage and healing. After that I level the 1 because it’s your highest damaging ability (aside from your ult). The 2 I level last because it doesn’t become as important as the other 2 until a few minutes into the game. After you are level 5 and have a point into all of your abilities (and two points in the 1), I prioritize the 1 first, then the 3, then the 2 last. I level my ult as often as I can because of the low cooldown and because it is a very effective way of getting into a fight and sometimes escaping one.

Combos

Ravana’s main combo is 3 > one-three AA > 1 > more AA > 2 or ULT
If you want to use his ult to initiate then you will want to either use your 1 or your 3 directly after and then the other one following that up. Although it is typically a good idea to save your ult until your enemy uses their escape so that you can stay with them easier.

Build

Bluestone and Bumbas with two health and mana pots are a great start. Go right into warrior tabi then Jotunns for the early CDR. After Jotunns build Masamune for the movement speed and small amount of tankiness. Then I like to go into Runeforged hammer because you have a decent amount of power at that point and it synergizes very well with Ravana’s 1 and 3 both applying CC to your enemy. Titans Bane is essential to deal with tankier enemies. After this there are many flex items that can work well. I like to build Mantle of Discord or Spirit Robe (basically depends if the enemy team has a lot of CC) to help my survivability in team fights. If you want to go for a more full damage oriented build you can build Hydras Lament because you are typically going to max your abilities with AA while fighting. Stone Cutting Sword can be a good option to for the same reason, but it will also provide a little bit more defense for you. Brawlers can also be great if your enemy is using healing to sustain in team fights.

Conclusion

As long as you be sure to time the use of your abilities right and combo correctly, Ravana can be an unstoppable force in the jungle and will be both strong and effective throughout all stages of the game.
