-- Introduction --

Without the sun, there would be no light, no warmth, no life. Without Ra, there would be no sun.

Ra is a guardian, the keeper of Ma'at - order and truth, and master of the sun. Each day he sails across the sky in a golden ship, and each night traverses the underworld, bringing light and warmth to the dead beneath the horizon. For those in the scorched South, Ra was the first God, creator of earth and sky and father to all other Gods.

But Ra's time is fading like a twilight sky. His descendants have grown in power and prominence and seek to replace him as the figure of authority. His own granddaughter, Isis, cleverly poisoned him by secretly summoning a viper under his feet. When he stepped on it, the serpent's venomous bite poisoned him. Isis promised to heal Ra if he revealed to her his True Name. At first, he refused, for knowledge of his True Name would give Isis unparalleled power over him, but as the pain mounted, Ra was forced to relent. Isis kept her word and Ra was healed, though the cost may have been to high.

Light can heal, but light can also burn, and the great protector is showing signs of wrath not seen since mankind's insolence. In that rare moment of anger, Ra sent his daughter, Hathor, in the form of a lion, to devour the people. However, he ended her bloody feeding before she consumed all mankind. This time, his burning gaze is set on the other Gods. When his wrath finally cools, nothing may be left but ashes.

Ra Skill Breakdown:
1. Celestial Beam:
2. Divine Light:
3. Solar Blessing:
4. Searing Pain:

What Actives to Choose:
Sprint: I usually take this Active every game. With the way I build Ra, he can tend to be squishy so I like to take this to avoid being ganked but I also like it for quicker movement when needed. I tend to pop sprint to get in range for my 4*Searing Pain* to close on a kill.

Purification Beads: I like to take this when against a Hades or Ares. Just makes it easy to get out of their ults to stay in the fight.

Aegis Amulet: Pick this up if you are against a Freya, Odin or anyone who has an Ult with heavy damage or a CC

Girdle of Might: This is one of my favorites. I pop this right before I begin a combo to kill someone. I pop Girdle>3>1>4 and usually instant death if you land all of them.

Item Selection

**COMING SOON**

Where to Lane? *Conquest*

Now while most Ra Players seem to prefer the middle lane, I prefer the side lanes. While middle can be very easy for a Ra player with this build, I seem to get better scores while laning with other Gods.

Side Lanes: If I side lane, which I prefer to do, I take my 1 at top priority and my 3 as my second. This allows me to have high sustain and gives me more damage while standing in my 3 or while enemy gods stand in it. Good lane partners are anyone with cc or a stun. I found that a good Thor or Ymir works very well with Ra. While putting out damage, Ra also has his 3 to heal him and his lanemates. Keeping for longer pushes and easier leveling.

Middle Lane: I found it best to save all your mana for minion kills. Push the creeps back below the enemy tower. This is where I tend to get most of my kills in middle. People come up to get their creep kills as I'm constantly spamming my 3>1>4 on them. It is also very easy for Ra to gank the other lanes. I hide out in the jungle and shot my 4 into a ongoing battle. Ive gotten a lot of double and triple kills this way.

Ohgood The Creator

This is my first guide for Smite. I have found Ra to be one of my personal favorite Gods in the game so far. I'm currently testing other gods for good builds and such so I will have more guides posted soon.

Nice job, my good sir! Though you should add replacements for Assault, since two of those items are banned. I used this guide in my recent Assault match, and subbed Doom Orb and Warlock's Sash with Pythagoen's Piece and Rod of Asclepyus (Sorry if I get spellings wrong.) But I want to know what you would do. Up voted! (Ra is now my fav Magical)
