Intro

From day one I fell in love with playing Ra. Whether it was skill shooting celestial beams, healing my teammates or sniping people with searing pain, this god was my go-to.

With over 150 casual games played (I don't think I'm good enough for ranked) he was my first diamond God and I still play him a lot today.

Because of Ra's simple-to-understand kit I think this makes him a great Mid laner for beginners.

Depending on how many ratings I receive on this guide I will upload video guides and go into more detail about this God so please rate it!

Pros / Cons

Pros Cons

High Sustain Squishy
Great Pusher Easy to gank
High Damage No escapes
HEALING Relies on teammates

The Starter Item Choice

So in this section i'm going to help clear up a few things about the starter items.

Why start with Vampiric Shroud and not Soulstone?

Because Ra has a slow auto attack speed I usually get impatient waiting for the 5 stacks of Soulstone to stack up. Because I can get poked out easily I like the extra sustain Vampiric Shroud gives.

Why start with Imperial Helmet?

The main reason is the enemy jungle. Because Ra has no escapes he can be easily dove and ganked. With the extra physical protections I don't have to worry as much about getting ganked from the jungle.

Furthermore if the jungle deals magical damage I will then just get Lost Artifact instead.

Mid Lane Simplified

So your playing Mid for the first time, but what do you do?

Basically when your in Mid lane you want to be out-clearing the other teams Mid laner. In doing this you open rotation opportunities to get yourself a quick kill on another lane.

With Mid you always want to make sure your doing something.

DON'T JUST WAIT FOR THE NEXT WAVE TO COME

Ask yourself:
Have I warded Mid?
When are Mid camps coming up?
Will I have time to get my back camps?
Is my red buff up?
Do I have time to rotate and get a kill? (Only rotate if you think you can actually get a kill)

As Ra you should be out-clearing the enemy Mid anyway so this should free up some time to do these things.
