Introduction

First, I know that this build is mostly life steal. The reason is that you will almost never die (or go low health) when killing mob camps. I know lots of you will think that this build is horrible but at least try it before you post your opinion. I hope you find that Thanatos is an amazing jungler if you read/follow my guide.

Thanks,

Team Cerberus

Jungling Route

Normally I like to start at the right mana buff to help the solo laner (if needed) then move on to the red buff for myself. After that, I take the two fury camps close to base then move to the two farther up in the middle. After this, I recall to buy some items. However if any lane needs help I try to get a few ganks in before going back. By now your buff should have run out so I like to head to the speed buff then more fury camps ganking/using ult when I can. I just keep doing the same route alternating speed and damage buffs and counter jungeling on occasion or if enemy jungler dies.

Skills

Note: The stats for skills are from the smite-fire website my additions will be in this color.
Death Scythe

Key Bind: 1

Thanatos flings his scythe at an enemy, dealing damage and an additional 10% of the target's current health against enemy gods. Enemies hit are slowed for 3s and heal Thanatos based on damage dealt. Consumes 10% of Thanatos' max hp when used.

I mostly use this for ganks... Max this along with Soul Reap alternating skill points.

Ability: Projectile
Affects: Enemy
Damage: Physical
Damage: 100 / 170 / 240 / 310 / 380 (+60% of your physical power)
Bonus Damage (Gods): 10% of current HP
Healing: 50% of damage dealt
Slow: 20%
Cost: 25 / 35 / 45 / 55 / 65
Cooldown: 13s

Scent of Death

Key Bind: 2

Thanatos senses death, gaining immunity to slow effects and additional move speed and physical penetration for 6s. His speed bonus increases up to double when moving toward an enemy god within the instant kill health threshold of his ultimate. Consumes 5% of Thanatos' max hp when used.

I use this for when my ult is not up and a low-health enemy god is quite close... max this last but make it available around lvl 6.

Ability: Buff
Affects: Self
Penetration: 15 / 20 / 25 / 30 / 35
Move Speed: 10 / 15 / 20 / 25 / 30%
Bonus Speed (Low Health): 10 / 15 / 20 / 25 / 30%
Cost: 20 / 25 / 30 / 35 / 40
Cooldown: 13s

Soul Reap

Key Bind: 3

Thanatos swings his scythe, dealing physical damage and silencing enemies he hits. Thanatos moves at a reduced rate while swinging. Consumes 5% of Thanatos' max hp when used.

Get and max this first (Still alternating with Death Scythe)... It is great for killing fury camps and doing over all damage.

Ability: Cone
Affects: Enemy
Damage: Physical
Damage: 100 / 150 / 200 / 250 / 300 (+80% of your physical power)
Silence Duration: .5 / .75 / 1 / 1.25 / 1.5s
Cost: 25 / 30 / 35 / 40 / 45
Cooldown: 15s

Hovering Death

Key Bind: 4

Thanatos flaps his wings and ascends for 5s, unable to be hit. While airborn, he moves unimpeded at twice the speed and can click to pounce to his target location, dealing damage. Enemies below a health threshold are instantly killed. All others are stunned. Consumes 15% of Thanatos' max hp when used.

I use this to jump over walls/camps into a lane getting a kill while a low health enemy runs/recall.

Ability: Ground Target
Affects: Enemy
Damage: Physical
Radius: 15
Damage: 90 / 125 / 160 / 195 / 230 (+80% of your physical power)
Kill HP Threshold: 24 / 28 / 32 / 36 / 40%
Stun Duration: 1s
Bonus Move Speed: 100%
Cost: 40 / 50 / 60 / 70 / 80
Cooldown: 90s

Items

Basically just buy items in the order I have them above. I have two builds one with Bumba's-Mask and the other with Death's-Toll. The Bumba's-Mask build is safer while the Death's-Toll build will clear camps faster. Which starter item to pick is your choice... It comes down to who you have on your team and how comfortable/experienced you are with jungling.

Summary

I hope you try Thanatos as a jungler and see how powerful he is. Please note that I am still tweaking this build and it is not fully finished.

Thanks,
-PolarGaming

The Fatalis is complicated for Thanatos he can get it just because of how smooth and how rapid his basic attack are you still need creeping curse for the slow then a little of alot of dmg items like executioner then go straight todmg items without attack speed get some lifesteal get a db and thats a build i guess xD.

I feel like a life-steal build without crits and damage to back it up is subpar. To be honest you didn't even give alotta feedback on you're items and your reasoning. Overall this seems me like a build list rather than a guide and even then you don't say enough about the build to convince me of it's viability. "Why fatalis, and not heartseeker, why bloodforge and not Devours gloves." If you wanna call this a guide and not have people be upset, please make more of an effort to "guide" new players through the uncharted area that is "Thanatos Jungler".

Dont need warrior tabi (penetration from the 2) and the fatalis is kinda a miss imo, with the loss of power from other items. And three lifesteal items feel kinda silly with his passive. One item with higher damage would be more benefical.

Why did you post a second guide? Every guide can be updated, so there was no point in doing this.

Guides cannot be deleted, only archived (people cannot see it unless they go to your profile).

This guide is better than the first, I'll go into what you can do to make it better when I have more time.
