Odin - Gladiator Extraordinaire

This is more of a build than a guide, so I'm not going to give out tactics or skill builds or anything, it's purely an arena guide, but you probably could use the build in lane, I've yet to try it.

This item build focuses heavily on HP5 early game. Odin already has good passive HP5, but with a full Gauntlet of Thebes and Stone of Gaia, you can get around 120-130 HP5. Reinforced Boots are almost a standard item on Odin, so I get them second.
Executioner is to give you some damage potential, as this isn't a full tank build, and is geared towards having a good late game.
Witch Stone is, I feel, the most under-rated item in the game. It gives a host of great benefits that really benefit Odin in paticular.
Finally, as you will have good attack speed, Qin's Blade fits nicely, as hopefully it will tick often with the extra magic damge.
For ability items, Creeping Curse is great for chasing people down, and either Aegis Amulet or Purification Beads will be invaluble for stuns and slows etc.
