Nu Wa is a really powerful god when played right, her stun can be devastating during fights and will normally end in a win for that fight. Her ultimate is extremely useful for sight of the enemies, don’t be afraid to use it off cool-down to get that information.

Introduction

To be able to play Nu Wa successfully you need to play safe and learn all about positioning, never go to far alone otherwise you’ll be picked off easily by just about anyone, play behind tanks and make sure you know your escape routes.

Items

Book of Thoth - Nu Wa has extremely short cool-downs which means she can just fire abilities as much as you want, having the extra mana from the passive will allow you to stay in fights much longer and be more affective

Chronos pendant: just gives you a bit more cool-down to help you out

Spear of desolation: who doesn’t love a bit of penetration

Polynomicon: this allows you to hit super hard after using an ability, if you can land you stun more squishy will either be dead after this hit or close to death

Rod of Tahuti: a bit of extra damage on all abilities wouldn’t be bad

Skills

Clay soldiers: levelling this ability first to get all minions will allow you to be more affective, tanking towers/objectives plus giving you a little escape if you can use minions to block enemies from getting to you, also helpful for stopping abilities like ah puch’s corpses and arachne’s spider babies

Shining Metal: extremely hard hitting but can be levelled up second due to this being a heavy hitting at 1 point

Mysterious Fog: this is your only get away but also your weakest ability, not super great for wave clear but good for a good flank or for an escape, make sure to weave in and out while running away to make yourself unpredictable

Fire shards: very high damage once it’s levelled up, this isn’t an ult you need to hang on to, use this as an extra ward. This will show where everyone is on the map, extremely useful when setting up for team fights or going for objectives like FG and Gold Fury

Up to you but a potentially more optimal "squishy" killer build could be Pendulum > Thoth > Deso > Divine > Magus > Typhon's/Tahuti/Shard if you're looking for more ult damage. Otherwise, could go Pendulum > Thoth > Deso > Poly > Typhon's > Tahuti if you're gonna rely on the Clay Soldier prot debuff for penetration.

However, for the "normal" build I really do advise swapping Soul Gem for Reaver (want this for tanks), and swapping Coin for Shard, and tweaking the build order to something like:

Conduit (Focus/Archmage) > Pendant > Deso/Divine > Shard > Reaver > Tahuti.

Yeah, I mean I feel like there are many way you can build Nu Wa and it still work, generally I don’t tend to want people to follow builds from here exactly due to counter guiding and everything else, so any build I see/post I will always advise to use as a rough guide if you need a standard sort of build. If that makes sense

The thing is you don't list any potential counter build options (mainly just Divine Ruin - which can be bought every game anyway, although there's also possible defense / hybrid options to consider but they're niche for Nu Wa), and the build you claim is standard is a bit different to a normal standard build.
