I'm making this guide because I've had some fun running Sun Wukong in the jungle role. This isn't something I have seen anyone do yet and I believe that it has some decent potential.

Why Jungle?

Although not a common pick, Sun Wukong has the necessary tools to succeed in the jungle role.

His mobility is very high in terms of a typical Warrior. Because you won't be building many protections as a jungler, this mobility will come in handy when diving, escaping, and rotating the map.

In terms of his ability to clear camps, The Magic Cudgel has a passive that applies extra damage to minions. This gives him some pretty solid clear potential that allows him to keep pace with most Assassins.

As a jungler, you have the ability to dive pretty deep while evading punishment thanks to your ultimate. This can be used as a stalling mechanism to get your escape off of cooldown, or allow your team to move into position to bail you out. It can also be used as a finisher if enemy position allows for it.

So the build that I have been running has centralized around Rangda's Mask and Hydra's Lament. Basically making your abilities hit hard and following up with an enhanced auto attack whenever possible.

Warrior Tabi is the standard boot choice.

The Crusher is good early for the passive and camp clear.

Shifter's Shield is an item that I like on Sun Wukong in general due to the synergy that it has with his passive. The conditional protections can help you get out of tight spots before being fully burst down.

Other items are situational and can be picked up depending on your familiarity and play style.

Your early game is actually not too horrible. You have decent gank potential using Blink into your 3's Tiger form. You can also invade fairly safely and rely on your Eagle form to bail you out of bad positions.

You don't really come online until you have Rangda's Mask and Hydra's Lament. This will give you some scary damage potential that will allow you to pressure out most squishy enemies.

Rely on The Crusher to help you clear camps with autos when enemies are nearby so that you can save your abilities for fights should they occur.

You are very susceptible to Crowd Control, and the enemy support can easily set a teammate up for an easy kill on you. Purification Beads is a recommended pickup. Your attack combos can also be interrupted easily as you get in close to enemies. Be aware of enemy abilities that can spell trouble for you and react accordingly.

It is really important to be aware of enemy positioning. Using your 72 Transformations to engage can leave you without an escape should you get collapsed on. You may be able to use your ult to stall for the cooldown, but you can be burst down during the ult wind-up. Knowing when and when not to dive is a key concept.

Late game, it will be hard to get to the backline easily without using Blink. Your ability/hydra's auto combos will typically 100-0 most squishy enemies. You can do a lot of damage quickly and get out using Ox or Eagle forms, as well as your ultimate. Focus key targets, meaning the main damage threats to your frontline.

This came out of nowhere, but I like it. Cool off-meta pick, good reasoning for build direction, etc.

Assassin's + Cudgel's bonus damage is probably great camp clear, huh?

Thought I saw my name.

Anyway, 1+ :)

Just nitpicking here, but you forgot to add potions to the start.

My point is still valid. One hp and one multi? Or 1 hp 1 mana?

I like it as a single crit item for ability spamming. You'll be auto attacking for Hydra's anyway, and a crit will get your abilities off cooldown quickly enough to spam your combo again in the same fight. It can be pretty fun if you're ahead.

If you don't get the crit with your Hydra's auto's, you can auto after all your abilities to get the crit. You have a good chance of getting it, especially with SWK's fast attack chain on his first 3 basics (1/.75/1).
