Janus creates a portal in the world. If placed on a wall, the portal will create a passage through to the other side of the wall that Janus or any ally may use. The portal may be entered from either side, but closes after 1 use.

If placed on the ground, enemies and Janus will fall into the portal, being teleported into the air above it. Enemies take damage upon landing, and are considered banished during the fall.

What? "Support" Janus? No.... BUT YES!

This is my first guide so don't hate on me if you don't like the way I play Janus<3.
Note: These builds are fun to play.

My first build on Janus "Dimensional Drift" is a "support" build.
His main objective is to save allies from being double teamed and as well as being able to with stand high damage and being able to escape easily with his portals.

Now understand most people probably won't except this idea until they actually witness it.
This build isn't meant for hardcore pushing on towers alone until late game. If you have a good adc with you then you have a better chance at getting ahead early game.

Skills and how to play support Janus :)

The way you build up skills are already shown, and its obvious why it is leveled that way.

1. Always use Portal(1) on yourself first when at spawn to gain extra M.dmg.
2. Unstable Vortex(2) can be used to help kill minions and your adc is obivously going to help as well so you won't be as focused on the minions but able to focus more on the enemy team and watch if they try to push on you.
-If they push on you right away, turtle back on your tower.
- If they get to you before your tower use Portal(1) on them then use Threshold(3)

3. If you're able to push early game and get kills in your lane. You have sometime to see if any other lanes need assistance and your jungler cannot get there fast enough. Oh looky whats this? BEYOND SPACE AND TIME(Ultimate 4) shoot that bastard across the lanes and have the jungler use it to get there faster.(This can be used for many other situations as well.)

Mid game Janus will be able to Withstand high dmg and do more dmg. You should start pushing a lot more if not already. As well as being cautious about your other lanes. Say saving someone from being ganked with your Portal helping your solo lane get away from an chaac Ultimate.

Late game should be a sinch if your team isn't behind in levels. Janus can easily killstea- i mean gank other lanes by himself or help team mates get easy kills with portal and threshold.

I love playing this one the most even if he just came out today, i'll be playing him a lot more.

Pretty basic Mage play Janus. (Dimensional Vortex)

Everyone knows how to play a mage. This is a pretty basic build/skill set up. It's a more aggressive version of Support Janus. More of a mid laner and good in arena. Use your 2 a lot to get easy kills ya know. Not really much to do. You can play back a lot and still support with portals.

Will make even your loki cry. (Dimensional Void)

If you just want to get to slaughtering everyone then this build is for you.

1> EXTREMELY HIGH DAMAGE.

only problem is that the cooldown isn't to good but there's enough dmg to kill a player before your ability resets.

Good start early game, Much much better late game.

Aggressive Aggressive Aggressive. Most likely you will be focused a lot in arena for being a mage so to avoid that you gotta shut the other team out.

A nice combination with this build would be portal>Threshold>Vortex
With Poly an even better one is Portal>Basic attack>(4seconds)> vortex and you can use the next Poly after the vortex on another enemey and repeat.
-This combo is usually an instant kill combo and can be used against multiple enemies at once.

All you did in this guide was give a very basic outline of gameplay and nothing else. I'm sorry but it will have to be a down vote.

Why on earth do you build so much CDR? You realize the cap is 40%, right? And why no penetration?
Aside from the awful building, the gameplay section is just plain bad, very little information, no BBCoding, and no item section to explain why you chose the items you chose (as if there could be any explanation to justify these horrendous builds).
Also, being your first guide is no excuse for being a terrible guide.

Downvote.

Hey there

Unless I am mistaken and something was changed during the last patch the max CDR possible is 40%
so there is no reason to take so many CDR items... boots + one of the other items is enough..
