Hello everyone! I am currently level 20 and have Hades at mastery level 5, so obviously this guide is intended for those just starting to use Hades. I have been successful so far using this build, though, so it's certainly worth a try. I am open to feedback and criticism, so please feel free to voice your opinion.
Here I will explain why I chose the items I did.
Starter: Vampiric Shroud
This is the best item to start with to get ahead in conquest when playing as Hades. It gives you some life steal and magic power, both of which help a lot as Hades.
Warlock's Sash
Good for both mana and magic power
Shoes of the Magi
Penetration and movement speed
Book of Thoth
Great for mana and a little magic power
Rod of Tahuti
Huge increase in magic power
Bancroft's Talon
Life steal and magic power (Passive helps a lot when at low health)
Chronos's Pendant
CDR
Spear of Desolation
Lots of magic power
Obsidian Shard
Penetration for easier kills on tanky enemies
Polynomicon
Damage
Midgardian Mail
Buy only if you're getting killed before you can finish your ability combos
Hades has great burst damage and there are certain skill combos needed to utilize this
Passive: Blight
Any enemies hit by your abilities or autoattacks receive blight. All of your abilities have an extra effect on blighted enemies, so try to autoattack while your abilities are on cooldown.
Skill 1: Death from Below
Hades's one allows him to quickly close the distance between him and enemy gods, deal some damage, and primarily apply blight. It also can be good for escaping.
Skill 2: Shroud of darkness
Allows Hades to silence enemies, apply blight, and fear them if they are already blighted.
Skill 3: Devour Souls
Hades's main damage ability. Use only after the enemies are already blighted.
Ultimate: Pillar of Agony
Can be countered easily, but massive damage potential
Ability Combos
Waveclear
1, 3 or 2, 3
Fighting enemy gods/Main ult combo (Works best if they're standing in their minion wave)
1, 2, 3, (4 if needed)
Alternate ult combo
1, 4, (immediately 3 if they didn't die from 4)
Hades is one of the best solo laners in the game and if you play him correctly you can get a lot of kills. Like I said earlier, please give feedback and crisicism along with what you want me to add to this guide. Thanks for reading, everyone!
Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat. And, instead of clicking a map, you use WASD to move, dodge, and fight your way through the detailed graphics of SMITE's battlegrounds.
