Freya- Queen of arena

This is my first guide so go easy please :)
Right, after spend the majority of the short amount of time I have been playing smite using Freya and have managed to get reasonable K/D/A's, I thought I would share how I have been doing it.

First thing you need to bear in mind with playing Freya (even more so in arena) is she is super damn squishy, I mean one slip your most likely dead squishy.
Early game is the most difficult time to play her I have found, yeah she has a lot of power for early game, but she wont have the movement & attack speed to make full use of it one on one yet.

Pros
-Freya is fast, really fast, and if you buy the right items you can quite easily match Gods like Artemis in attack speed.
-Pulse gives her a nice little AOE if you hit a minion or God with it, so you don't necessary have to hit the enemy God head on if they are hiding behind creeps.
-Quick cool down rates on Pulse and Irradiate mean lots of damage very quickly as they are more buffs than actual ability's, like Bastet's leap.


Cons
-Did I mention she's squishy, because she really is!
-She can be mega Mana hungry early game, so dont get to carried away.
-you get caught on your own and banish is on cool down, your looking at a bit of a rough ride.

Right, time for the item build.

Core
-Shoes of the magi, a staple for any Mage in my opinion, your talking movement speed and a nice little boost in power really early on, get this immediately, you cant get it all in one whack, but farm some creeps and there you go, shoes of the magi.

-Next up is Hastened Fatalis, a brilliant little item, attack and movement speed all in one, with a nice little passive, which still works while buffed by Irradiate and Pulse.

-Lastly for core, Demonic grip, it comes in with attack speed and magical power, also lowering the magical defence of enemy Gods, this is when you really start to notice the speed and power Freya can have and start raking up the kills.


Extra items
-Bancroft's talon comes in really handy, huge spike in power and puts Freya's passive life steal on steroids.

-Obsidian Shard,you get this item, you will be taking on tanks like it was nothing, its the perfect item to go with demonic grips passive, we're talking about power and penetration here people. (heh heh penetration, sorry had too)

-Rod of Tahuti, does it really need explaining? this is one of the best items in the game to send your magic power through the arena roof, have fun making others rage quit.

Optional
-Gem of binding, if you find that the enemy is still getting away from you late game, then I recommend switch this with obsidian shard, its got the same amount of magical power as shard but its passive slows the enemy, Loki and Artemis wont be getting away any time soon.
