Introduction

Hey i'm Phantomite, ive been playing over a year now. I always found these guides helpful so I though I might as well give it a try. This build has been in my head since Geb was released so I though might as well make it and see what yall think about it. Thank you for your time :)

Items

If you do duo lane, you would ideally go with "Watchers Gift" so that your partner can get the minion kills while you still get the same gold and exp.

In a solo lane you would get the "Mark of the Vanguard" so that you can get the protection and health. In addition the 5% less damage is a nice bonus when clearing minions.

Over all

In the first build in a duo lane you would need to get watchers gift in order to gain gold and exp while your partner kills the minions. The build for skills would be max out the stone shield to protect them and shock wave to help out with minions or if you need to attack.

On the second build you would max out Shock wave to clear minions. Then Stone shield last to help in team fights. With mail of renewal you would get your health back for every assist or god kill you get.

I will try to test this out but for now this is all ive got, I will edit this when im done. (first guide ive made)

Ok so someone said that hp wasn't viable to stack. Technically speaking it's viable but to a point it becomes more effective to get armor and mr too. Magic damage does do well on Geb but it should be mixed with tank items too, also every single hp point can make a huge difference in a dota game because a team fight can be decided by just that, a single hp point. Lets say a mage can burst for 2.5k through your carries mr. Now you add a shield for 500 on top of their hp of 2001. Your carry survives at no little to no cost to the cost of their full kit. Even though 500 hp isn't a huge deal in the grand scheme of things every little bit does more than you would think it does. Just try to balance out a little bit of everything at first than experiment with changing the values. Does cdr help more than greaves? Does hybrid magic damage outplay full tankiness, or can you even build all magic damage. Just try some things out and see what works out well then put your idea up if you feel confident about. Don't let what people say bother you but as always try to improve your guide and your game if you see a way you can.

You're right, I should have clarified, some was constructive, some was not hostile , just the overall vibe I got reading the comments, yours have always been on the helpful/honest side. I guess its not the guide I care for much, its not that helpful and it doesn't work well. He just didn't seem like one of those DAY 1 FIRST GUIDE WOOO kinda posters, anyhow.

On a side note I'd like to see a viable build somewhere, I've tried a few different build directions and with this God, I feel kinda lost as to his purpose, seems kind of like a tank tyr, as in push backs, and mobility with rock roll or w/e its called. I'm just not sure what makes him more attractive than some of the other staple tanks, but he's alot of fun.

And what makes him more attractive then other tanks could be super obvious, but it wouldn't be the first smite god to sail over my head.

No one in this thread is being hostile though. We expressed our disdain but we literally NEVER said anything bad about the person who wrote the guide, just the guide itself. And several of us gave constructive criticism (although some DID only just say bad guide). I mean, he literally CAN NOT build some of the items listed.

Anyway, hope to see it updated, you seem to care about the guide.

Ya'll... all this criticism is valid for sure, but is there anyway we can phrase it in a way that doesn't make the author feel like a complete moronic douche? I know Jaro would rip this guide a new one among others, but he does it with class, humor and his criticism is more constructive than derogatory from what I've seen (not always... but you know)

Mobo crowds are notorious for being hostile to newcomers and harsh critics as well. I've seen players in low level matches get flamed so hard you can tell they're not gonna give it another shot and tbh its not for everyone, even so, just adjusting the acidity in the environment to slightly more alkaline could go a long way (forgive the analogy, doing grad work on the effects of increased ph lvls creating an environment that cancer cells don't like). I hate to be the carebear, but just a thought.

"BUILD GEB HEALTH AND NO ONE CAN KILL ANYONE HUEHUEHUE"

...no.

even at the max 5500 health, his 3 would block (400 + 1100 =) 1500 damage. 1500 is NOT a lot of health, once you're at a point where you have 5500 health. Don't use his 3 for damage mitigation, use it for the CC purification and knockup immunity.

yea sorry im not entierly done with it :c i was in school when I made it and ran out of time but im going to fix it as soo as I can! but thanks for tip! :D

Just a tip. When making a guide there is a save option and a publish option. If you hit save and continue working on it later. Then publish when you are done.... People won't get pissy with you for releasing a bad guide. Just my two cents.

You realize Geb is a magical god, right?

You can't buy Frostbound Hammer on magical gods, play the game for another year so you know how it works before making a guide. Downvote.

Don't build him pure health. It's a trap and it's a horrible idea.

You can't level up the shield levels 1 and 2. You're not allowed.

Roll out at level 14? Why would you literally just not take it?

You only leveled up the ult 4 times.

You have no skill at level 6.

Rod of Tahuti? No. He's a tank.

No ethereal Staff?

No actives, or explanation.

I don't know what to tell you about this =/
