God match-ups

Intoduction

Hey people, welcome to my guide on Chronos. Chronos is not a great god in the begging of the match but scales incredibly well, he has great damage output in the late game, and also he scales very well. He is a full magical power god, he is best played mid lane so that he can get as much experience and gold to start, but he is very usable in any other lane, he is a good farmer and has a strong team fight presence.

Lore
Existence is measured in age. How many years has a mortal lived? What was the construction date of the Parthenon? When were the cosmos formed? Time begins at birth, at creation. But, inevitably, time for all things comes to an end./n/nExcept, of course, time itself./n/nBearer of the clock of eternity, rimmed by signs of the Zodiac, the Keeper of Time, Chronos, counts every tick of the second hand, preventing interference with that essential forward momentum./n/nIf he knows who or when the eternal clock was wound, Chronos does not tell, but upon the first stroke, he came to be. Emptiness was the ocean, then, and his only companion was Ananke, Queen of Fate. Together, their powers divided the vastness into heaven and earth and sea and sky. Thereafter, Chronos became an observer, the watchman of infinity./n/nPatient to a fault, Chronos knows no urgency. He does not fear pain, or war, or death, for he is time itself and will outlast all. For this reason, his presence on the field of battle is alarming. This war between Gods must portend a conclusion so dire as to threaten the very existence of time. Perhaps, all the Gods should begin counting the seconds of the eternal clock. There may be few of them remaining.

Pros
1.Spammable ability
2.Strong team fight
3.Great ultimate for escaping death
4.Good Farmer
5.Great late game
6.Good passive
7.Medium CC

Cons
1.Very item reliant
2.Both 1,2 and 4 abilities have long delays
3.Without ultimate he doesn't have an escape
4.Low defense
5.Mana starved early game

Lets get on to the rest of the guide

Give me some constructive criticism on things you do not like and things I should improve on.

Abilities

Chronous has amazing abilities great for farming and constant damage output, also his most damaging abilities are AoE (Area of Effect) and have somewhat short cooldown
Wheel of time
This is Chronos's passive it is always spinning until his second ability (Accelerate) is activated which stops the wheel, depending on where the wheel is, it provides different benefits to Chronos:
Section 1: +20% Magical Lifesteal
Section 2: 75% Mana Refund On Abilities
Section 3: +20% Magical Power
Section 4: +35% Magical Power Contribution to Basic Attacks
This is a great passive for the early and late game, early game you can use it to not lose as much mana and stay in lane for a longer time with the section 1 and 2, late game you can use your section 3 or 4 to give you that extra power to take out an enemy, mastering the passive is crucial to mastering Chronos.Time Rift
Chronos creates a rift in time, damaging all enemies in the area.

This is Chronos's main damaging ability, capable of dishing out up to 600 damage consistently with a very short cool down, this ability is a very powerful ability and is great for team fights due to its spammablity and AoE (Area of Effect) damage, this ability is also very useful with a CDR (Cool down Reduction) item because it makes it even more spammable, plus this ability is great for harassment because you can use it at a safe distance.
Damage: 80/125/170/215/260 (+85% of your magical power)
Cost: 50/55/60/65/70
Cooldown: 5s
Accelerate
Chronos accelerates himself over time, allowing him to progressively move faster. While active, his attack speed is increased and he is not affected by the attacking movement speed debuff. This ability also stops the Wheel of Time.
This ability is good because it stops your passive, time it correctly and it will give you the ability to dish out even more damage, I like to use this when I am running away, by stopping the clock at the first section I can safely retreat while poking the enemy and getting some lifesteal without the movement debuff of hitting while walking or the walking backwards movement debuff.
Movement Speed: 10/15/20/25/30%
Attack Speed: 20/25/30/35/40%
Lifetime: 8s
Cost: 70/75/80/85/90
Cooldown: 15s
Stop time
Shooting forward spinning gears of time, any enemies hit by Chronos' attack are slowed to a stop, taking damage on the initial hit and again when they are stunned.
Stop time is a great initiation tool due to the fact that it slows before stunning, giving you enough time if you are far to close the distance and get in some hits, only problem is this is a very hard skill shot to land because it is so slow giving the enemies enough time to run away, but if you land it be sure to capitalize on your chance.
Damage(Applied twice): 30/50/70/90/110 (+40% of your magical power)
Stun: 1s
Cost: 65/70/75/80/85
Cooldown: 16/15/14/13/12s
Rewind
Chronos travels through time to where he was 8 seconds ago, gaining health and mana back to the values of that time. All of his cooldowns are instantly reset as well.
The name says it all, this will rewind you, mana, Health, place and cool downs (except Rewind) 8s in the past, this is a good skill but you have to use it early because of its long delay till activation, this greatly benifits from CDR (Cool down reduction) so I would really recommend a CDR (Cool down reduction)item
Cost: 100
Cool down: 120/110/100/90/80s

MAIN COMBOS
Main Harassment combo
intointo
This combo is not to be used pre level 5
, because this forces you to be close to your enemy it is a bit dangerous plus before level 5 you will not have enough mana to repeatedly do this unless you activate your passive on the second section, I recommend you try to stop the wheel of time on the third section to get the most damage output..

Pre-Level 5 Harassment combo
into
Use this before level 5, this is not that much of a mana waster making it good for lower levels, if you are under level 5 make sure to not have minions (creeps) near you while you do it or you will lose more health than your enemy.

Kill Combo
intointointointo
This is an amazing kill combo which will kill most enemies unless they built very tanky, how I like to do it is use time rift to lower their health then go to stop time and while the stop time is slowing them hit them with another time rift, activate your accelerate and hit them with a few basic attacks until your time rift has come out of cool down, then finish it off with the time rift.

Teamfights

Just keep spamming your Time Rift until your team starts to attack, when they do go for the main kill combo. When you spam this try to get as many enemies in it to try to weaken a large number of enemies getting them low until the main clash

Farming

When using Chronos it is very easy to farm, in the mid to late game you can instantly kill creep waves, on the melee creeps use your Stop time to get them low, while they are being hit with the Stop Time hit the ranged minions with Time Rift, this will quickly get rid of the Ranged minions leaving the melee minions low on health and 2 or 3 hit from death.

TeamFights

When in team fight I have noticed that Chronos is very good at making the team have an easier chance at winning a team fight, because of the spammability Time Rift the enemy team will have a disadvantage in team fight, and if you are fighting near the Fire Giant or the Gold Fury that is good for you, because in small areas and tight corners you can easily use your slow time and hit enemies with it.

Stick close to your team while in team fights or you will be focused and be taken out very quickly.

Items

Due to the fact that Chronos is a full on mage he is very easy to build, I would usually build him full on power but I have seen him being used with a touch of tankiness, if you do build with tankiness it will help you be in the middle of the team fight.
Starting Items
Boots of the Magi >> *2 Healing potion >> Mana potion
This is what I like to start with, this is one of three ways I like to start, but this is most common
Reinforced boots >> *2 Healing potion >> Mana Potion
I would only use this if you are up against a God who is very good at harassment.
Warlocks sash >> *2 Healing potion >> *2 Mana potion
Chronos is one of the only gods who can actually go and do well without boots because of his 2 ability.
Build 1: My Favorite Build
As the name suggests this is my favorite build, boots of the magi give me penetration power, void stone gives me a bit of magical defense and gives the aura that reduces enemy magical defense, Demonic grip is an item that is somewhat made for Chronos giving him more attack speed and magical power, Gem of isolation is very good and it strengthens your accelerate because people will be slowed allowing you to catch up to a running enemy, Chronos's pendant allows you to spam your Time Rift ability and is very useful for the ultimate, and the Rod of Tahuti gives you a huge amount of power.

Build 2: Comeback kid
This is very good if you are behind and have died a few times to start because of the item composition, a mix of warlocks sash and book of Thoth give you a large amount of mana, and good amount of health

Build 3: Feeling lucky

This build is if you know you are not going to die much, the doom orb will give you an amazing amount of magical damage if stacked, with the combination of the Rod of Tahuti you will be a force to be reckoned with.

Build 4: Full Damage
This build is for a large amount of damage without the gamble of the doom orb, for this build instead of using shoes of the magi, I use Shoes of Focus for its CDR (Cool Down Reduction).

Build 5: Tank/Damage
This build is only for when you are going up against a good harasser such as Anubis or He Bo because they can dish out a lot of damage with just the harassment you will need this build to make it easier to survive their blows.

Conclusion

To finish off, Chronos is one of those gods that are easy to learn hard to master because of his passive.
