Introduction

Hey guys! This is my first ever build that I'm creating for Smite! I was so excited when I created this build on Chronos I just had to jump on and make it for everyone to see. I'm not sure if someone has already posted a build like this so if anyone has let me know and ill take this one down immediately. I don't want to get in trouble or be accused of copying :c Well anyways! Lets get started!

Intro to my build

My build was created out of curiosity during a game in which I went a little crazy with this god. I tested it on bots, as well as real players including my friend who is very good at smite. It consists of fair attack speed, fair damage and decent sustain in MP and HP upon using the passive properly. If you can use Chronos' passive in sync with the passive, then this build should do very well.

Starter items!

1) Vampiric Shroud: I personally like this item when it comes to sustain early gain. I only use it against characters who tend to be aggressive and have control over the lane I am in. I play solo a lot as well as mid, so characters who have great push like Ah Puch, Aphrodite, and others I play against with excellent push is when I take Vamp shroud. Though Chronos does have a passive that when using accelerate in the proper quadrant can regen Health and mana is given back when using skills, I still feel it is necessary to take vamp shroud since I feel safer with it. Especially if Solo and Jungle or Mid and jungle have very good clearng, as well as comboing. Comps such as Isis and Merc are characters I'll take it against since they have a team comp where Mercury can use his throw to throw you into Isis' Spirit ball which can stun you.

[*] Side note: An alternative item to use when you have better clear or team comp against solo/jungle or mid/jungle is Soul stone for the extra bit of damage it gives when stacked. Upon using Quadrant 3 or 4 when using accelerate you can do high damage fairly early and possibly kill the solo/ mid laner.

2)Lost artifact.: I pick up this item because of the small bit of damage and MP5 it gives. Though it doesn't help all too much I prefer it for the damage mostly as well as for building into one of my core items shortly into the game. Not much to say about this item but if you feel you want to be quicker feel free to build into boots to start up boots of the magi.

Lastly I just pick up 1 or 2 health and mana potions to stay in lane a little longer. I'll normally take 2 each if I feel I'll be invaded on or to invade. Like Weak3n I prefer to pop the potions when a feel a fight is going to engage (Thanks Weak3n you save my life with your vids <3)

Core items

Boots of the Magi:Now this is almost always the first item I'll buy for core. Boots of the Magi. While it not only gives you a power spike it also gives some penetration, personally I don't feel it's enough to absolutely destroy someone,, but I feel it's enough to poke someone out of lane or to do decent damage to my opponent in a small fight while clearing lane thus forcing them to back in the right situation. Ontop of that the small bit of damage it gives helps clear a little better with Chronos' 1, to get rid of archers easier, and to poke at the enemy. An alternative for Boots of the Magi is The Cooldown boots Aka Blue boots I'm too lazy to scroll up and find them because its so cold in my room currently I Just can't be bothered.

2:Demonic Grip: I-Absolutely-Love-This-Item. Especially on Chronos. While this items gives you 60 damage which is enough to clean up archers to focus auto's on the melee creeps, It helps poke out enemies with your 1 and do a decent amount of damage more! In fights it becomes very helpful when boxing an enemy especially glass cannon's such as Janus and Nemesis. The Passive for this items helps aswell it reduces magical protections by 7% and an additional for 3 seconds which is enough to absolutely go banana's on a glass cannon or anyone in that case! (Except Ravana...just....don't even try..i don't know poke down the shield if you can but...you're basically asking for death with his rework..). Yes I am absolutely afraid of Ravana! Laugh at me! But aside from that it also gives some attack speed to cast autos more often providing more poke damage.

3:Chronos Pendant: What did you expect! He needs his own item doesn't he? In all seriousness Chronos pendant gives a very good amount of Cooldown reduction as well as more MP regeneration. Using Chronos pendant while also using Quadrant 2 for Mana return on skills can help boost any MP lost while you can still cast. Chronos pendant gives 75% magical power so you're more viable during fights and ganks. This is when more team fights in middle lane begin happening if one team hasn't decided to be more aggressive over another. At this point if you're out of potions you can stop buying them, they're not necessary at the moment unless you prefer them to stay safe. Also I would consider starting up Beads of Purification or Sprint if you haven't already. By this point characters are between levels 5-7 depending on their farm and you will need them against CC characters such as Mercury, Ares, Ymir and more.

Damage!

Polynomicon: I don't particularly enjoy life steal on Chronos and that isn't why I get this item. Polynomicon gives mana, damage as well as life steal so you can gain all of that good stuff. I mostly enjoy Poly because it gives extra mana (300) and it's amazing passive. It gives 60% additional magical damage every 8 seconds when you use an ability. Using your poking skill (your 1) Will grant you a very good amount of damage. At this point Poking is enough to make your opponent scared of you. While you can also sustain in lane Health wise with it, Using it with your first quadrant grants more Health regeneration so you can stay healthy and keep Nurse Neith away! (or is it doctors.....I forget but whatever). Polynomicon can also be helpful in team fights when picking off certain enemies. It can poke a god to the point they can be forced to back allowing your team to engage easier. Team fight gods such as Chang'e with her Ultimate which can stun, Isis who's ultimate can heal, as well as a silence and a stun, Khepri who can save people with his ultimate, are a few examples of characters who are team characters in my opinion meaning they exist in team fights to help out and secure victories or engage easier. Allowing a Khepri to pick off a teammate isn't a good way to engage a fight. So I prefer to poke poke poke the bug until it dies Because I hate bugs (Except Khepri because he's so cute <3).

Spear of the Magus: I prefer spear over any other penetration item for Magical gods because of the additional damage it gives in its passive. Ontop of Polynomicon I feel it can do a very good job making you a dangerous being when present in fights. It isn't objective pen so it may be harder to take down towers and other structures without an ally god who has Obsidian shard. But Chronos to me isn't an objective taker Like Sol in my eyes is meant to be. Like..dang girl do you have built in pen or something? Ontop of the Passive as well as the pen the extra damage it grants gives you much more magical power making you stronger in team fights.

Lastly)Rod of Tahuti: Or as Tyde calls it Rod of the booty because you can beat someones a** with this items. Getting this item gives you quite a power spike and makes you a very dangerous Character to deal with. At this point you do massive damage stacked with your core and damage items. A little bit of a glass cannon, but you do very good damage. If using your Third or fourth quadrant you can absolutely destroy someone. Rod of Tahuti gives damage but 15 Mana regeneration so you can cast more often while regenerating mana. But remember your second quadrant still exists. Now you can be a threat in team fights if you play safe as a mage, I prefer to poke from a distance and damage from the back while still being involved in the fights, taking the front lines if necessary.

Defense + actives

1Winged Blade: Winged blade is my alternative for Defense for Polynomicon or Spear of the Magi. Reason being, It not only gives Health, but Cooldown Reduction, Movement, and attack speed. I mostly use this in an enemy team comp that utilizes Slow abilities, Such as Scylla's 2, Amaterasu's Ultimate(Not always), Anhur's shifting sands, Etc. While this items Passive is useful every 30seconds for 4 seconds, it can be a life saver in certain events.

2 Void Stone: Void stone in my opinion is very helpful when dealing with enemy mages who are doing burst damage to you. It provides Defense against magic, while also providing some damage and reduces Enemy Magical defense. In my opinion this item is useful against burst mages such as Freya (build varies) and He Bo who of course is famed for his High damage Mid to late game. It can also reduce the defense of Magical attacks on an enemy helping your Mages on your team do some more damage on enemies to improve the damage you do in team fights. Your team presence will be strong still.

3) Breastplate of Valor: I find this item a fair defense item to replace Poly since it Gives Mana as well as Cooldown rate and Physical defense. Only 75% defense though. With this item you can protect yourself against an enemy god who does very good physical attacks, such as Neith who hits hard with Basic's, and Sun Wukong who can hurt very much. An alternative for this item is Mail of renewal which grants mana and health when getting a kill or assist, but you have to be able to get kills and assists in order for this item to be useful.

Pro's and cons on this build

Pro's

Very good team presence
Good poking Mid-late and some early
Good damage
Decent attack speed
Hard hitting abilities
Regenerative (HP and MP)
Good team fights
Good Magic protection reduction on enemies

Cons
Some what of a glass cannon
Can not tank more than 1-2 people
Can be dealt with easily when ganked by Hard hitting Assassins
Requires most skills and Auto's to land
Can rely on Passive early game
Can't take objectives easily

Progression through the game

Early game: Chronos's Early game can be fairly weak without enough damage to deal with the opposing enemy. While he does good poke damage he doesn't do enough just yet to be lethal or scary. He has trouble controlling his lane against characters who have better clear such as Aphrodite, Isis, and Agressive characters like Osiris.

Mid game: Mid game Chronos begins to come online when he gets more damage and attack speed, as well as some movement. In the awkward stage of early and Mid game, Ganks are what he will have to keep an eye out especally with characters such as serqet who is a fantastic jungler. In solo lane, I suggest warding offensively In front of the enemy Blue buff, or between fire giant area and Speed camp. A ward between fire giant and the middle wall beside the lane would also help to find serqet who commonly can hide behind this wall to jump onto a chronos, and combo him. Characters such as Awilix, Ne Zha and Nemesis will either run to the lane beside your blue buff, or the enemy blue buff. If the jungler more commonly runs through your blue buff camp, ward a little further up beside fire giant so you can be alert and escape easily, especially if you are behind and do not have an ultimate. Over all Chronos does start to appear more at this point in the time of the game, and may become an issue, so be careful of incoming ganks.

Late game- End: This is when Chronos shines like a light. He now has Actives, As well as all or most of his items. He is now a very strong Magical god. With the ability to Zone people and defend gold furies/Fire giants and clear lanes quickly, as well as drop the health of an enemy quickly thanks to polynomicon (if that is your choice) Chronos will be an issue and a threat in the game making him a possible target.

Extra

This is just a guide that I wrote to show how I feel when playing Chrome dome with this build. If it has any flaws please feel free to let me know I love feed back to improve my guides and gameplay. Just please be gentle about it. It is my first experimental build nothing serious. <3 Thanks guys~

Ok, your build is ok, I have Chronos Mastery 5, now I'm not saying I'm an expert, but I have enough experience with him. You don't need polynomicon with Chronos, as you said "if you can use his passive correctly" then you don't need the life steal, instead use Ethereal's Staff, he is a very squishy god, and needs the extra health. Another thing is that spear of magus doesn't work too well on Chronos, so swapping that for Obsidian Shard is a much better build, this is my opinion, and I encourage you to try it out, But then again, you feel comfortable with this build, then use it, but everything else I pretty much use, except the defensive items, I want to have as much power with him as I want so I can rip through my enemies, but good build.
