Introduction

So this is my first ever build that I decide to do on Chaac since he is the latest god I have come to enjoy

If you have never played Chaac or at least not well here is his run dow

Chaac is a great DPS/Sustain Warrior working best for lane matches. With this if feed early he can be a great carry for any team

He has a decent sustain that is good early/mid-game but can falter once end game rolls around and the other team has full builds.

He is a versatile warrior who can focus his basic and abilities to be able to hold down a lane against at least 2 other gods or until help comes and poke enemy gods back to their tower.

Pros / Cons

Pro:

    Good Basic speed and damage
    Can play a
offensive support/tank if need be
Positive Sustain, Pokes, and wave clear
Amazingly healpful Passive

Cons:
    Isn't very
MANA EFFICIENT
Passive needs close up encounters (Can be countered by just stacking on creeps)
Torrent does very little damage and Storm Call is very predictable

Skills

Passive: Overflow allows you to cast the next ability with NO MANA COST after 5 successful basic attacks. This is a passive you always need to keep and eye one. It is a real game change as I have been in many situation with no mana but a max Overflow to be able to cast Rain Dance to heal. The best part is i maxes out hitting anything it isn't just enemy god exclusive. If you ask me I think it is by far the most useful passive any god has.

Oh the sweet sound of Thunder Strike in the morning is wonderful. This is you bread and butter, your right hand ability, your best one of all so top priority skill to max. This provides Chaac with a great poke ability and wave clear with out having to get in enemy sight. This is a great initiate as it pairs with all his other abilities well and allows those few fleeing foes a few second of time before getting an ax to the back. The only thing more annoy than an this is it's combo capability

When used with Torrent this allow you instantly blink to the ax location but also deal damage upon getting there

Pair with Rain Dance provides another muddy area by which to slow your prey

Using Storm Call in the vicinity of a thrown Thunder Strike super charges it dealing more damage and knocking anyone in range up

This is a move you want to wave clear early. Pairing with any of his move is great but best with Rain Dance to provide escape for your team or not allowing enemies to do so. Last but not least it is the beast for picking off those just out of range of your Storm Call

Oh sad sad Torrent how lonely you must be. Thought all the stuff that is said about Torrent it is decent in class as an aoe and clear. Most god Chaac player will only use this to clear minions but that not its only use.
As said before it can be used to blink with Thunder Strike out, a decent escape

Better to use to finish off any low gods with out wasting Storm Call or Thunder Strike

Protections are alright for this ability but don't count on it to save your life

The wonderful Rain Dance, this gives Chaac a heal and slow aoe at the same time so this is your next skill after Thunder strike to max. This is probably his most versatile move of all.
Used in conjunction with Thunder Strike to allow an escape for teammates or to slow the enemy to chase

Heals and covers yourself with slow aoe so melee focus god chasing you won't get the chance to get to close to counter you heal

Can Zone out a area and position enemy to where they have to go around setting for a easy block and kill

Saving the ulti for last is his Storm Call. Jumping a few feet into the air Chaac charges his axe becoming CC immune and gives him a 50% damage reduction. Not only is it a great aoe but it silence to so any god caught in it but doesn't die won't have the chance to escape immediately. As always activating when Thunder Strike is within range causes a knock-up to all.
Uses
To finish off any god trying to flee
Always throw out a Thunder Strike first

Don't use to initiate or when a god is at full health

NEVER do you cast this to escape NEVER

Items

I am not to fickle on starting items or builds but here is a go

Starting: If there is any CC around always get Purification beads first if not than get a few health and mana potions if you want to stay in lane long

If no hard CC I start with Combat boots and try for Warrior Tabi which I usually get after clearing the first buff camp

1st item: Warrior Tabi Always. I know some go for Ninja Tabi for the attack speed but between latter item and his already decent attack speed he doesn't need Ninja Tabi. I like Warriors anyways cause of the more Physical Power as always and speed is a key for a Chaac who like to doggedly pursue his prey

2nd Item: Next I grab myself a the Executioner to provide myself with a good power addition plus some attack speed. Not only that but through it passive enemy gods hit by your basic attack by 8% and additional 6 points for 3 seconds. Doesn't sound like much but it is great late game to take down any tanks.

3rd Item: Oh the fabulous Titan's Bane. With its high physical penetration couple with your attack which should be high enough to shred through physical protection with ease. And this penetration is a passive that effect all your attacks Yeah!

4th Item: Shield of Regrowth yes I said that. This is positive in all stats, 10% CD, +30 physical protect, and +20 physical. I love it. And the best part is the passive 35% movement speed increase on a heal how cool!

5th item: As for this slot I get Jotunn's Wrath. This is a item most Warriors get. I think the mana and CD is great thought the penetration isn't to much to shine on. Coupled with Shield of Regrowth you'll nearly have max CD so yeah great choice

6th Item: This is debatable depending on how the game is going. Either go Hastened Fatalis or Death Bringer. Hastened Fatalis if the enemy is able to escape more effectively toward mid- or late game. If you are catching basic attack just fine go for Death Bringer for sure.

Side note: If the enemy is still getting away faster than you can catch up on basic attacks or you just want some health you could go for Frostbound Hammer instead of Deathbringer to slow them down and tank a bit more hits

Summary

Overall Chaac is a warrior who just lays in wait for a window. Once he see that he will can go all in and at least get 1 or 2 kills and still escape with his life as long as you are ready for and roots and stuns. As I follow my build I am able to tower dive effectively and pursue for a great time especially in the jungle. Heck if your brave enough try to jungle with this build some of my friends tell me my build works good with a Jungle Warrior

Chaac is my solo lane beast of beasts! Rarely ever will I get pushed out of lane with Chaac, and unless their Jungler is very, very good, I am impossible to gank with him. Now, the main issue I take with this guide outside of the asthetics, is your build.

Chaac is a pushy, pushy son of a gun! That being the case, you need to make sure every single poke hurts! So, your build needs to be as follows:

Start Items-
Transcendence Lvl 1
Bluestone Pendant
Health Potion X1

1st item-
Transcendence
2nd item-
Warrior Tabi
3rd item
Joutun's Wrath
4th Item-
Hydra's Lament
5th Item-
Death Bringer
6th Item
Rage

Your damage will never fall off and max cool downs, and if you understand that Chaac goes from being an ability-based warrior to a auto-attack warrior, you will kill EVERYTHING! Your targets are assassins and mages all day. When entering a team fight, always enter from the jungle. You are not the initiating factor for team fights. You are the tide-turner. Combo into the fight, drop your Ult, a few auto attacks, and then leave. Try this build out and I guarantee you will see results!
