Bruiser/Solo Lane Athena

You should always lane left. You need to get blue buff, make sure you know when it comes back up. If you are laning with someone, make sure they are ranged. If they are not, you better hope the other team doen't have ranged.

[*] Against (Physical + Magical) Recommended
This is the build I use the most. Depending on who you are against Void Stone and Breastplate are can be switched. But, go with Breastplate to start. It gives you a lot of Cooldown for you abilities and a good amount of Mana so, she is more sustainable.

[*] Against Mostly Physical
I have not tried this because I haven't had a game of all physicals. The reason I chose Midgardian Mail is because of it's passive. As long as you can slow the enemy, you can kill them.

[*] Against Mostly Magical
I haven't tried this because I've never been in this type of situation. I chose Hide of Leviathan for the Cooldown Reduction. Stone of Gaia and Magi's Blessing are changeable. Use Stone if you are living through team fights. Get Magi's Blessing is you need more Mana and Health, but that is highly unlikely.

[*] Late Game Damage
You mostly likely won't be able to finish Rod of Tahuti, but it will end up giving you 400+ Magic Power. If you are very late in the game(DO NOT get ride of Breastplate of Valor, unless you get something else that gives you Cooldown Reduction and Mana.),and you want to do more Penetration, go with Spear of the Magus and get rid of Wall of Absolution; If you are up against tanky people. If you don't need the Magic Pen. Go with Gem of Isolation, for the slow, or Bancroft's Talon, for the Magic Life Steal and Magic Power.
