Bellona Joust Anti-ADC (Need Some Help)

So, I was playing Joust like every conquest-hating-noob-but then into a team of nerds that were on voicechat. (I use the term "nerds" lightly) They were doing a Hercules/Loki/Artemis combo, and we got completely and utterly owned for the first 20 minutes or so.

After I got my greater meditation, I purchased Hide of the Nemean Lion to get some damage off my back, and a Rama on my team told me "to get Shield of the Underworld" and I was like "k"

And then things got fun - Artemis and Loki were just literally killing themselves, so I ignored them for most of the fight. Being the nooby Bellona I am, I charged in with my ultimate, and popped Hercules with my warhammer of pwnage. My mom called me, so I went inside our Phoenix, but my cat must've gotten on my keyboard and moved me out. When I got back, Artemis and Loki were about to burst me, so I popped Shield of the Underworld. They both were dead in half a second before I even moved. Both of my team members screamed my ear out through Curse Voice, and we pushed their tower to their titan and won.

(Shield of the Underworld) If a target damages you by basic attacks, 40% of the damage done to you is instead returned to them.

Can these two effects stack?
Can these two effects be:
-Can you increase this by increasing magical power?
-Can they decrease this by increasing magical defense?

PROS:
-Anti-ADC and Basic Attack-oriented enemies.
-Really fun to play
-Teamwork is key

CONS:
-No real sustain, unless you count the effects of HotNL and SotU.
-Insignificant against non-basic attack oriented enemies.
-Somewhat lackluster in damage.
-Normally will need help 90% of the time from an ally.

So i made a build that wrecks face against basic attack-oriented gods.
