Introduction

Welcome to my very first SMITE Guide.

This might not be fine tuned just yet, But as i play more and more of bastet im sure ill find more ways to get good with him !

I really enjoy this game, so ill be playing alot of it, Also if anything in the guide you dont think is right, try to tell me a better way, ill test it out and then if i like it ill edit it :)

Enjoy

Items

First buy Warrior Tabi level 1 and then the ability Hands of The gods Then as soon as you can buy the rest of the boots for the movement speed

Now to buy the heartseeker this is good for extra Movement speed and should generally be enough to outpace most gods now, with the extra Physical power aswell, The stacks on this item AREN'T Permanent so be careful, if you do lose them, i just suggest killing creeps.

Now you will buy Soul eater which i think is an amazing item, it will be giving you some lifesteal so you can get health back from creeps, attack speed and health to make you just that little bit less squishy, good for ganks since it has a aura aswell !

Now for the Frostbound hammer which is vital for chasing down your enemy's, Since it will be making them 25% slower, also gives you some Physical power and even more health

Next is the Brawler's Beat Stick This will be giving you some more Life steal, so now you will have about 30% lifesteal, which will be getting you alot of hp if against creeps, giving you more critical strike chance and more health, And will make the enemy's damaged by you health regenerate slower.

Lastly the Deathbringer This item is pure Power, Giving you even more Physical Power, Critical Chance and Critical Power

Warrior Tabi
+30 Physical Power
+6% Attack Speed
+6% Critical Strike Chance
+21% Movement Speed

Heartseeker
+25 Physical Power
+10% Movement Speed
+1.5 Physical Power stacking, up to 60 stacks. Resets on death.

Soul Eater
+15% Physical Lifesteal
+10% Attack Speed
+300 Health
+10% Physical Lifesteal & +10% Attack Speed to allies in 30 ft radius.

Frostbound Hammer
+25 Physical Power
+325 Health
-25% movement speed for 2 s on basic melee hit target.
-15% movement speed for 2 s on basic ranged hit target.

Brawler's Beat Stick
+15% Physical Lifesteal
+15% Critical Strike Chance
+150 Health
-25% healing/regen for 3 seconds on basic hit, up to 3 stacks.

Deathbringer - +50 Physical Power
+20% Critical Strike Chance
+50% Critical Strike Damage

Skills

Pounce, a great skill to get away from enemy's, But not needed to level up really, i allways get it 3rd just for the jump, and then level it up last.

Razor claws, This is the skill your going to want to focus on, since it makes the enemy bleed, so you can use basic attack whilst it still damages them, and also gets more than 1 target at a time, Get this skill up as much as you can.

Nine tails, Very very usefull for chasing down enemy's since it has such a large distance on it and will slow the enemy down by 35% and with the amount of speed you have you can catch up in no time ! Get this skill up as much as you can after Razor claws.

Cat Call, This is a brilliant Ultimate, Get it up every chance you can ! make sure you make the enemy's bleed before you put your 3 big boys out on the enemy, these are great for chasing down the enemy's make sure you use nine tails first aswell to slow them so your cats can keep up !

Dont forget to Auto attack to !

Summary and tips

Bastet is a very good champ to chase enemy's, i dont find him to be to good in Ganks, but he is still part of the team, you could build him to be good in ganks but i personally use him to Jungle and chase down the enemy.

By the end you can easily kill your targets in 1v1's since they will be bleeding, having 3 cats attacking them and you attacking them they dont stand a chance !!

I find that he is good early and late game

Use your skills going 1-2-3-4, or maybe just 2-3-4, sometimes try to keep your pounce for a quick escape

The pounce has the ability to Hop back from the place you pounced from for a certain time, so you could easily harass the enemy by hoping on them, attacking them they hopping back !

Dont spend to much money on potions ! Mana ones will be needed for when you dont have mana buff, and green isnt really needed to much after you get the Lifesteal

Also, Remember your squishy, your strong, but you cant take over the world !

the opponent that seems to kill me alot is Artemis and his ******** piggy ! so try and look out for that :)

Creeping / Jungling

Make sure to go left lane, So you can get to blue.

Once got blue, i'd go back, get the health back, then head straight over to Green, if it isnt allready taken, wait untill your hands of god is back then go and kill the Red buff ( this is slightly harder than Blue and Green, I dont really get the movement speed buff, maybe in later game when you can easily kill them, and same for the cooldown reduction buff.

By late game you can pwn FG and Gold.

How to play

So, this guide wont actually fully show you how to play, its just a guide but i could tell you how i do mine.

I all ways like to play with a tank or a ranged god on my left lane, sobek or ares is preferred.

at the start of the game you can very easily Pounce onto your enemy's use Razor claws and nine tails on them then pounce back, either for the kill or just to harass the enemy.

Now, you could all ways just live in the jungle, which does work very well as-long as you are getting all the buffs for constant xp, and you will be stronger than most other gods, for me bastet is the best 1v1 god i use ( maybe except artemis )

Pounce does not slow, not sure why you think that.

Frost hammer is ok, but with a built in slow and your bleed its more of a play style thing.

Your math of the 30% life steal is incorrect.
You get 15% from the first item, and then only 12% the next 15% item because of DR (Diminishing returns) dont forget that. Your not off too far but its something to know and let others know.

The sticks are a bad item, Replacing them with Qin's or exo and sooner is better for her.

Heartseeker is great, but only if you dont die, something to rememer.

Your 3 slows, be sure to let people know that they need to have this up, if they want to ult. If they are not slowed then your ult is pretty much useless besides forcing them to simply back up.

Soul eater is alright and guess you could use it, but life steal really isnt her thing. As you said, she is squishy.

Good guide dont get me wrong, but items could be better.

Also, since your Pounce and Nine Tails both slows. Frostbound Hammer is NOT needed, unless you have problems hitting with your spells........

I would prefer Executioner or Qin's Blades insted of having both Soul Eater and Brawler's Beat Stick.

Lifesteal:

//Brawler's Beat Stick if you want to stack critical, only good for autohit though - (would not suggest this for Bastet, unless facing powerful healers on lane, Hel, Guan etc.)

//Soul Eater for life/attack speed, i would suggest that you buy this if no one else on your team does.

//Devourer's Gloves if you want the extra physical power, and once you have full stacks(Not lost on death stacks) you'll have 20% lifesteal, i'll suggest this item for Bastet since you can never get enough physical power and it has the most lifesteal. (Those 40 stacks are farmed easily, get it as 3rd item).

there is some spelling errors in this guide and you may want to fix that. You should also describe the play style throughout the game in depth.
