Just a Quick Note. This is my first guide to anything. So if you have any advice to help me improve it or any suggestions to make please do tell me. I'll try to keep this regularly updated if I notice any major improvements that could be made. Thank you.
Now, I am TeitoWolf and ironically One of my main gods is a cat. Bastet. I'm going to try to explain the reason I made this build and how I play her, and hopefully not make some of you fail horribly in your games.
Pros -
+Extremely good ganker
+Has a nice variety of skills to finish off an enemy
+Great Gap closer/Escape method
+Able to harass even the toughest god
+Really Easy to Master
+Is also a really good jungler
Cons -
-Extremely Squishy
-A single mistake in your gank can cost you your life.
-Not much use in team fights despite the AOE Skills (Pounce and Razor Claws).
-Almost certain death if caught in a Crowd Control.
1. Grab Meditation, Breastplate of Valor, and Three Healing Potions. With my build you're probably gonna burn through Mana quickly if you go aggressive which is why I grab Meditation. If you 're gonna stay defensive or just try to help push a lane instead of going for kills, grab Hand of the Gods or Sprint. Now Some may be saying "What the F*ck are you doing you noob, this is a horrible build." Keep reading. Grab Breastplate of Valor for the Mana and the extra survivability, Your biggest threat as Bastet are the AD gods, Mages are as good as dead to you which is why you don't see Magi Blessing or Hide of Leviathan.
2. Do not Return to the shop until you are about level 6 or 7 if possible. This is so you can buy Titan's Bane and Devourer's Glove AND Upgrade Your Breastplate of Valor if you have been farming well enough or have already got two or more kills under your belt. At this point Do NOT buy anything else unless they are potions, wards or if you must, another ability. At this point you have to upgrade these three items to their max potential.
*Try to Max out Devourer's Glove first, The permanent stacks will help you in the long run and give you that extra boost to deal some nice damage.
*Now max Titan's Bane, The Damage boost and the Armor penetration will help you get rid of some pesky gods or at least strike fear into them.
*Needless to say max Out your Breastplate of Valor. The cooldown reduction will mainly help with you getting your ult faster but the Mana and Protection is what you really want.
3. Try to grab the level two Reinforced Boots and Heartseeker. From here, max the boots for their wonderful little helpful passive. Max Heartseeker now, and try your best right now to push lanes. Why? Because not only are you helping with the push, you're getting minion kills to build up this stack, if you can kill a God for that extra boost in the stack but dont go for it if you know you're gonna die. Only exception is if the God who almost dead is carrying their team or is really destroying your team.
4. Now for the Real hard hitter. DeathBringer. To be completely honest i just picked this no other reason than to fill that sixth slot, though the damage is really nice. But this slot is really personal preference, fill it with whatever you think is useful at the moment.
Explanation for some Choices:
Why didnt I pick up Boots first?
I noticed that Bastet is slightly faster than most champions so you dont really need the speed since you will be mostly harassing in the beginning or finishing off an enemy who made a dumb mistake.
Why didnt you go for Warrior's tabi?
Because I feel like there is enough AD there, I dont need extra AD, Crit Chance, or Attack Speed when I get hit with a Stun. Which will happen alot if you are a major threat and the enemy team is smart about who to attack.
Why Meditation?
Like I said Already. With this build You should be harassing a Lane a great deal or jungling some. You will burn through Mana quick since you need to be quick as well when you strike. Mana potions take too long if you end up in a group of enemies because you wasted your last mana on Pounce, Meditation basically restores almost all your Mana so you can keep on trucking.
When you gank. Jump in with Pounce (1) then use your Razor Claw (2) if they still have a decent amount of health throw in some auto-attacks then jump out with Pounce (1). If they have less than half they're health, they're most likely gonna retreat, for sure if you have a teammate nearby. You should use your Cat Call (4) and hit them with Nine Tails (3) and land some auto-attacks if you can. This is an Almost guarantied kill.
Nine Lives. I love this passive, it's a joy for late game. You shouldn't be dying early game anyways, so if you live to late game this saves you about 20 seconds of respawn time which is awesome and can save your team hides.
Pounce. This is the an awesome gap closer and a good way to escape. You should always start your gank with Pounce and get out if you need to with it again. You will also use this skill to eliminate the surrounding creeps from a Buff or minions (At Max Level, it's a One shot kill). Remember though, In early game your harass with this skill is Jump in and Jump out. Then Jump in, Razor Claw, and Jump out. After that, you should be following the first paragraph I wrote.
Razor Claws. This is your main Damage output, One you do this they will have a Bleed Effect which is nice to help finish off a God or just scare them off a Lane. This will always be your second skill to use in a gank or the skill to finish off an escaping enemy.
Nine Tails. This will help you land that last hit on an escaping enemy or help your cats catch up to their target. This is also used for eliminating those archer minions quickly or just hit that one turret hugger so he knows to get away from that turret since you can still hit him.
Cat Call. Your Ult like every other Ult is your Major damage dealer. These cat go after the nearest bleeding target or just the nearest target. So When you hit an Enemy with Razor Claws make sure that when you do Cat Call it's the right God. This will also Slow the target then just destroy them, which is why this is my third skill. These guys are also amazing turret divers so let them chase the running god instead of you.
Bastet and Teamwork. Not that good. Bastet is not that good with Team fights. Reason being she is too squishy and once you try to jump in you are proabably gonna get hit with a Crowd control effect and get killed. Your use in a Team fight is two things.
Pick off the escapees by haunting the jungles and pouncing on the runners. You should stay in the jungles keeping an eye on your team and the enemy. When one of the opposing begins to run while the team fight is still on, Pounce on them and Razor Claw should be enough if not use Cat Call. Then jump back into jungle and escape since the enemy will probably be chasing you, if not rinse and repeat.
Your other objective is to help your team escape. You will do the opposite of what i said last paragraph. You will help your injured teammate escape by slowing the Chasing God and distracting him till your comrade has a nice distance away and you can escape or get the kill. You will use pounce as always, but now you will use Nine Tails second, Cat Call Third and then Razor claws. If the guy is still alive with a decent amount of health, Run unless you have another teammate to help you.
Bastet is a Really good Jungler. You should always grab the health buff first, then grab Mana. If your Team has no need for any ganks yet, Grab the defense buff. These three buffs early game will drastically improve your survivability and give you that edge when you start ganking. Mid Game Grab the cooldown buff, attack buff, and the speed buff So basically All the buffs in a side jungle. This will allow you to get kills easily or just harass the lane back a bit. You should also be able to Solo the Fury for that extra gold income. Late game you Should be able to take out the Fire giant with only a tank helping you. Just you and a tank should be able to take out a Fire giant.
*Note* I have not done much Jungling with Bastet So Allow me experiment more with her and I will update this if the guide doesn't get downvoted to hell. The thing I have listed are basically postive results from several games.
Ah Laning how fun. This is where you make your mark as a threat to the enemy. Bastet is capable of being in any lane. Even mid? Yes, Even Mid.
Mid Lane is typically given to mages, Artemis or Cupid. All these gods are squishier than Bastet and she can tear them apart. If you dodge well, you can easily dominate the mid lane early game.
In Left or Right Lane You will stay in the jungle, and gank the enemy when they pass your exit. Though you should always grab green buff before doing the gank and always aim for the Main Damaging God.
If you solo a Lane the You must stay in the jungle and constantly harass. Do not let up on the enemy, But so not go for sucide charges. You harass the enemy get out and farm the minions So you can have a decent early game. Buffs you want to grab is the Green and Attack buff.
