Hey guys! This is my first build as a new guy to smitefire. This build is pretty unique, and not something you'd expect. Not to worry though! I've tested the build and it works great, provided you know hat you're doing. This build will be building physical power from your physical defence, thus making you a bit tanky, like a bruiser. The build may seem a bit...rediculous, but it's a nice turn to the tables as Bastet can be focused and killed easily. You won't be lacking damage with this build. ALSO, you won't be falling off in LATE-GAME with this build as I still rack up kills with it as well.
Watcher's Gift- You won't be jungling with this build, so you will be laning. I do not recommend getting in on the front-lines as you are melee and squishy so this is a useful item for spamming razor claws and getting gold and exp for your lane partner's kills.
Warrior Tabi- increased attack speed, power, and penetration.
Ankh of the Golem- This will be building your bruiserness with all the essential stats you need. The attack speed, the damage growing with the health pool.
Gauntlet of Thebes- This is what powers your Ankh so be sure to get this after you buy the ankh.
Eye of Retaliation- This is powered with all your health but only hits hard when your trading punches with the other guy, but this is your advantage in that battle. Taking hits increases your damage. So now you don't need to run away with your tail between your legs. lol
Jotunn's Wrath- A nice addition, gives needed penetration and cooldown reduction with some power.
Stone of Gaia- An edge on those pesky mages spamming their abilities.
And thats the item explanation.
Nine Lives- Passive- Respawn time reduced for nine deaths.
Pounce-Bastet pounces to her target location, damaging enemies within the radius. For 4 second
Razor Claws-Bastet swipes at her enemies, causing them to bleed for damage every second for the duration.
Nine Tails-Bastet lashes her weapon, unleashing a projectile that detonates on her target, dealing damage and slowing the enemies in the area.
Cat Call-Bastet summons 3 cats that attack nearby targets, slowing and damaging them. Sensing the smell of blood, the cats will attack bleeding enemies first.
You will be building for laning so you will need to be a team player. I don't necessarily recommend going in alone early in the game, you can easily solo most gods. Just use discretion. pick your battles wisely and you could very well end up be the one carrying your team.
Don't jungle..that's all I have to say about that...

Physical Power and Physical Penetration should be the primary focus, with a secondary focus of Movement Speed and Cooldown. Tertiary focus should be Attack Speed and Critical Hit. The damage you are doing is primarily ability-based.
Bastet is an awesome laner. Pounce allows her to taunt better than anyone, often getting the opposition to commit mana to attacking you and POOF, you're gone. I have solo laned with Bastet and frequently have wound up with early double kills because when I hit level 5, I can really surprise them with an ultimate strike.
Pounce is one of the most versatile abilities in the entirety of Smite, imho. Taunting, damaging, surprise attacks, fleeing, and misdirection.
I think she is highly underrated, which is why I love her. She can absolutely dominate arena because of her mobility and that same mobility makes her a threat in Conquest.
In all honesty, you should work on a build that focuses on damage, which is how Bastet is designed to be built for best performance in game.
While Midas Boots are nice, Warrior Tabi is obviously the better choice from the beginning.
I hope you know that the passive from the Ankh, assuming that Bastet gets around 3k health here, only gives about 30 AD. About as much as a normal AD item, so it's rather useless here.
Guantlet of Thebes is just a terrible item, and I don't know why it hasn't been removed. All it gives is stats, which I know is great but it gives no other beneficial stats. It is similar to Fatalis in that what it gives is nice, but ultimately DOES NOT HELP YOU.
Eye of Retaliation... I see what you're going with here, but considering your phys. protections it still won't get you very far.
Jotuun's Wrath is probably the only viable thing I see here. It is an excellent item on any melee AD.
Stone of Gaia... It just doesn't work.
The other thing you are forgetting is that she is missing on many important passives, such as The Executioner's passive, which is far better than the items here.
This build would be decent for a REAL bruiser, but not on a squishy assassin like Bastet.
