So, first of all, credits for the build goes to a young lad,EskibroLemur, I am just posting it, because I think it's a really cool build to play it, with another Guardian, for example like Ares,and possibly Isis. The thing is Athena has great crowd control,plus high mobility, which makes her able to zig zag on the battlefield easly.
With this build we focus on Cooldown Reduction and Crowd control + a couple of boosting for your team mates.
This is not a tanky build, it is actually very squishy if not played knowing that you will die faster than normally.
Primary build is pretty simple, you focus on CDs,and maxxing out your 2nd ability, Confound. Go with the Void Stone for some early ingame magical protection, and cool aura,than the order of the other items totally depends on you,and your group comp and skills.
This build played best with hel,and chung or w/e that god is called,wchich allowed for maximum magical damage .
Can swap Warlock Sash for Plinomycon , also.
With all the CD recution, and CCR , you will be awesome, Ultimate on teammate in the middle of the enemies(Activate Frenzy if not on CD), Shield Wall (3),Confound(2) , When they start running use your Preemtive Strike (1),and by then all your other skills (2)and (3) will be free, and be able to use them again. 45 sec later, Ultimate ready.
With high mobility and some decent dodging,you will be able to hit with your Ultimate for more than (5)800~ + (3)550~ +(2) + (1)450~ . All of them are (~) because it may vary depending on your group composition.
This one, is focused a bit more on Surviving, if you are playing as the only Guardian and have no other support in group.
Still focusing on CD and CC reductions, like a boss, while getting some protections and even a bit of Magical Power. Not a total beast , like primary build, but still you will be able to hit decently.
You can swap Mail of Renewal for Polinomycon and even get a bit more of Power,+ because of its Passive, works stunningly with Passive of Athena ( The Ranged attack after using an Ability )
The order of the items depends alot on your group composition,and your skills so be aware!
PS. The artifacts, I preffer Blink/Speed + Frenzy on Primary , and on Secondary Build little support with either Meditation or Shell + Frenzy .
The skills order is basicly MAX out your (2) ability, Confound, than (4) Ultimate ability(when able to), than the other two(1)and(3).
Pros
+High mobility,
+Massive Magical Damage ( for a guardian
+Very fast CD, and CCr.
Cons
+Squishy build, ]you will die very fast!
+Requires great group composition,and
some more dodging than normally.

I really hate guardians in generally, but I love playing Athena, she is so cool!
