Hi Puss here with a new guide to Ares the Chain Master.
Hope you enjoy my Guide to ares and give me some feedback on how you liked the build and what items you liked and didnt like.
Pros
Max out his Shackles immediately then focus on No Escape and Burning Flesh
Only attempt to kill target if health is low or Shackle is stacked 3x on target and Burning flesh is up.
Your Combo is
In this guild is will explain each build and why i use them.
Build 1
If enemy team is 4/5 physical Damage i would probably go with no magic protection and focus on the physical protection. End game really depends on most my Builds what your going to finish your build with. if your ahead and just don't need protection i have items you can use for more damage or more defense if not doing so well in game.
Build 2
Same as Build 1 just switched from 4/5 physical enemies to magical. i didn't really place optional for end build because i thought those were most effective against magic users.
Build 3
More of a hybrid build against either 3/5 physical or 3/5 magical enemies
Both kinda lean towards having a little more physical or magical defense then each other.
this build worked awesome and ask you to try it. any build works just this one i kinda still mess with.
Build 4
still working on most output and defense. i want health and mana with this build but really dont know if its worth going with. Maybe i should just add more damage and hope to kill targets faster.
Anyway try them all out and add comments would love to know how each build worked for you.
Ares plays A big part in teamwork, if you cant play around your teammates or kinda know what there reactions are by lvl 20 i would surrender unless your like me and play till the end because i just stay for the fun. I find the best way to work with teammates is watch there lane if you see that there enemy has 50% health or less jump in and get the slows out but remember that this is his lane and if u see he can get the kill then leave the kill for him. As Ares your trying to get your team fed not yourself. And sure if your chains accidently kill the target then what can u do right :). As ares though you need to be aggressive or you will lose lanes and teammates, if you see that u can save a teammate and get out alive or get him out alive i would probably do it. I have played alot of games and spotted my teammate getting picked on by all five enemies so i jumped in and chained them all some had beads some didn't but it left an opening for him to retreat and i just followed behind him taking the hits with shield up and my agility banner up. Got a ty and we won that match because of aggressive and defensive tactics.
If you ever get in a game and you see Enemy combos like Odin And Zues or Arachne and Odin Switch lanes with a teammate with leap asap the Odin and Zues Combo for sure. Odin locks you in and Zues ults inside Odins ult if done correctly by them they murder you early game and Same Goes with Arachne and Odin Can be pulled under tower then ulted by odin for tower hits and gods damage. but atleast with Arachne and Odin theres a chance of survival.

If you get landed with what the community considers to be an "overpowered" combination of gods, then deal with it. Ares is a support tank, by switching lanes with potentially your AD carry just to save your life, your AD carry has an increased risk of dying which results in a lack of levelling for your AD carry.
Always think about the team when playing a support role. That statement is just selfish. And to be honest, I'd be more scared of Sobek/Cupid or Sobek with an AD carry.
You'll do more damage with the complete recommended Ares build rather than that damage build, because of Ares' passive.
