This is a heavy cooldown build that allows you to adjust to your opponents composition, while hittin' 4 like you've never done so before.
This is a build that will allow experienced players to dominate the tempo of the game, and for new players to learn the basics of countering your opponents as well as help out your team.
The primary goal for this Ares is to build cooldown as soon as possible and to consistently use your Ultimate Ability.
This is my own material to my knowledge. If this appears to rip-off another build, please let me know.

Strong Magical Damage
Max cool down after the third item
Sets tempo of the game
Less Defensive than an average Ares build
Certain Heroes defend Ares' Ultimate Ability well
-Notice which enemies are using "Purification" to counter your ultimate. By building cooldown, you will be able to use your Ultimate Ability a few times before your enemies Purification will refresh.
-You do not always need to try to use your Ultimate on every enemy. You will generate an Ultimate (at the very longest) one minute. Use them whenever it is advantageous.
-Be vocal with your team. Your job is primarily to set up kills for your teammates. Use your Ultimate Abilities together. "VVVR" Is "My Ultimate is Ready.
"Shoes" - 300 gold
"Lost Artifact" - 600 gold
"Multi-Potions x2" -50 gold eachw
Feel free to utilize any combo of potions
Next, either "Sanctuary" or "Purification" depending on opponents
A great scenario on your first time out would be to reach level 5, perform your ultimate, and earn 1800 gold.
Complete Chronos Pendant. - 1800 gold. (This will give you 20/40 cooldown)
Complete Shoes of Focus. - 1200 gold. (This will give you 10/40 cooldown)
"Spirit Robes" - 2460 gold (This will give you 10/40 cooldown, which will max it out)
"Spectral Armor" - 1900 gold
These two pieces of gear should be used when 2 opposing players are Physical Power characters.
"Hide of the Urchin" -2400 gold
"Genji's Guard" - 2200 Gold (This will give you 10/40 cooldown, which will max it out)
These two pieces of gear should be used when 2 opposing players are Magical Power characters.
Use the ONE of the following items, in the following situations:
"Divine Ruin" - Reduces Enemy Heals. Use when opposing team has a strong healer.
"Void Stone" - Reduces Enemies Magical Protection, so if your team is Magic Heavy, this can be used.
"Bancroft's Talon" - You gain additional power for missing health, so if you find yourself taking a lot of damage this is a strong way to pick up some Magical Power
"Soul Reaver" - Deals a great amount of extra damage when you land an ability. Great choice if there is no need for another item specifically.
IF YOU FEEL ARES HAS BECOME "SQUISHY" use the following:
"Sovereignty" - Increase PHYSICAL Protection
"Heartward Amulet" - Increase MAGICAL Protection
Purchase one of the following:
"Rod of Tahuti" - 3320 gold - the "safe" pick, increased Magical Power
"Spear of Desolation" - 3800 gold - Each enemy player you kill will take 8 seconds off ability cooldown. Also has penetration.
