Aphrodite's Skill Order Notes You can either choose to upgrade your 1 or 2 at level 2. Personally, I prefer getting my kiss with the current meta. Junglers start in the mid lane, so having a kiss to help heal them and stun for initiation/peel early is great.

I usually wait to get level 2 before using my love birds on the first wave, so that I can kiss my jungler and heal them.

You can choose to upgrade your ultimate whenever possible as well, whatever suits your gameplay more.

Kiss

1 X
Aphrodite blows a kiss to an allied god, making them her soul mate and giving them both increased movement speed. If it hits an ally, it has a reduced 1s cooldown. If the kiss hits an enemy god, they are Damaged, Stunned and Aphrodite's soul mate gets jealous, increasing their damage. Also, Aphrodite's soul mate gains 50% of her MP5 and 10% of her Physical and Magical Protections.

Introduction

This is very much a cookie cutter guide to Aphrodite, more so for new players to use or as a base to adjust according to your play style. I am not a pro nor do I claim to be. Feel free to leave comments with any constructive or positive feedback!

Introduction

Starting Item: Sands of Time
This is a great starting item for Aphrodite. One of the main problems with Aphrodite is she is extremely mana hungry, especially towards the late game when you need to constantly kiss and heal your teammates. This makes MP5 and CDR extremely important, and Sands of Time offers both. Vampiric Shroud is another potential starting item if you are afraid of assassins and warriors jumping on you, as it offers some health and physical protection.

1st Item: Chronos Pendant
Again, MP5 and CDR are vital for Aphrodite. Chronos Pendant is very much a core item for her, as it helps immensely with the mana and cooldown issues. 20 MP5, 20% CDR, and the CDR passive work wonders for Aphro.

2nd Item: Spear of the Magus
Your second or third item is likely going to be a flat penetration item. Spear of the Magus gives you some nice power and marks enemies for increased damage which is nice as Aphrodite works best fighting with teammates and may not put out as much damage as other mages. The lifesteal is not too important but can help in a pinch. Divine Ruin should always be built here if antiheal is needed. Spear of Desolation is another option for some extra CDR early, but you will overcap on CDR by the end of the build.

3rd Item: Charon’s Coin
Now it’s time to start building some percent pen against the tanks and warriors. Charon’s Coin offers a good amount with 20% penetration. It also also has more MP5 which again, is great for Aphro. The HP5 it offers isn’t too important, as you will be constantly healing yourself. The main benefit of this item is the movement speed. Aphro is a big target and the movement speed helps with survivability as well as weaving in and out between teammates to heal. This can also be built as a 4th item, I prefer it earlier to start stacking early. It’s not too difficult for Aphrodite to get assists with linking to other gods. Obsidian Shard is another good option here for more damage if you feel you don’t need the MP5, movement speed, or are worried about stacking.

4th Item: Soul Reaver
This is another item to help with magical penetration. It gives some decent power, and it’s passive helps a lot with getting in some damage on the tankier enemy gods. The 300 mana is also fantastic and helps again with Aphrodite’s mana issue. This could be built earlier as a 3rd item if desired. You could also go a Rod of Asclepius for additional healing, movement speed, and some health. Lotus Crown is another option for granting protections to yourself and an ally. These both could be built 2nd or 3rd item as well.

5th Item: Pendulum of Ages
This is an upgraded version of Sands of Time, your starter. It gives more power, more MP5, and more CDR. I would recommend upgrading the starter before the 6th item, as the MP5 and CDR are so important to Aphro. The other option is the Alternate Timeline. In my experience, it’s rare that the passive will keep you alive as the enemy will likely just stand over you and kill you again. You also miss out on some extra power, get no MP5, and get no added CDR. You could potentially pick this upgrade for the additional protections if you are getting jumped on a lot. If you went Vampiric Shroud, go Blood-Soaked Shroud for survivability or Sacrificial Shroud for power.

6th Item: Calamitous Rod of Tahuti
This is a great final item for Aphrodite. Although expensive, it gives you a ton of power and some extra percent penetration which is always nice. The MP5 is great as well. This item also increases Aphrodite’s healing output. The passive for the upgrade is not that great, but the alternative upgrade is not ideal for Aphrodite as she is not an auto attack focused god. There are many other options for the 6th item slot and again, is preference. Lotus crown can be nice for protections on yourself and allies. Rod of Asclepius increased your healing, gives more movement speed, and offers some additional health. Mantle of Discord can be nice for a lot of protections, Magi’s Cloak essentially gives you another set of beads. These are just a few examples.

Relics ~
For Aphrodite, beads are usually a must unless the enemy team somehow has no cc. I also enjoy grabbing an aegis for Aphrodite for some more protection. Although she has her ultimate as a beads/aegis, it’s nice essentially having a second pair to keep yourself from dying as Aphrodite is a big target. Some other options could include more team-focused relics including shell, meditation, sprint, curse, etc.
