Intro: A quick word

Alright, before I begin I want to start by saying this is the first guide I've made. Ao Kuang is my favorite god by far and I've seen so many people play him in so many different ways/builds. This build is the one I use in Arena/Clash match, which I'd like to think works out very well in any situation there. I might upload my other builds later on, but for now I'll keep my first guide simple.

This entire build revolves around movement speed and attack speed
Being able to get in. Kill. Get out. And repeat.

Pros / Cons

Pros:

    Very Fast
    High Attack Speed
    High Burst
    Amazing escape artist

Cons:
    Very Squishy
    CC is your worst enemy
    Usuaully gets focused first

Items

While these 6 items are the ones I use every match regardless of what the enemy has or is using, the purchase order plays a big part in it all. Regardless, you will want to grab the shoes of focus. Ao Kuang uses mana, probably more than he breathes, but luckily the shoes will keep you from running out quickly plus the cooldown reduction is nice.

The next two, Hastened Fatalis/Winged Blade, usually by the time you have enough to buy the beginning item that builds into the other two you'll have a good feel of where you sit.

Hastened Fatalis

    CC isn't being a problem
    You don't feel too squishy
    Want to kill, faster

Winged Blade
Getting CC'd is becoming an issue
    Want some more HP
You have a need, for speed

Regardless of which one you grab first, make sure to grab the other afterwards. Now, just like the last pair you will want to do the same with the grip/ring but around this time you'll be approaching mid-game. At this time you will need to identify the biggest threat on the enemy team, which will help you decide on the first item in the next pair

Demonic Grip
Guardian is focusing you or pushing too far alone
Enemy team has a warrior built like a tank, ae Bellona usually
Enemy team has a mage built like a tank, ae Hades/Nox(sometimes)

Telkhines Ring
There is no guardian, or it is Geb
Guardian is not building against magic or is HP tanking
    Mage/Hunter/Assassin is the main threat

After you grab one, just make sure to grab the other than start saving for the Spear of Desolation. The reason why I grab it last, is because you won't need it til end-game where enemies will have a lot more HP and you want to have that cooldown reduced when you tower dive to execute an enemy.

Skills/Gameplay

Early game is pretty slow, you will want to play very carefully and always be aware of who is around you. You will want to run in, use Wild Storm (3) to do some damage, and then run out. You just want to grind them down a bit and watch for your teammates (specifically your guardian) until you see an enemy that is seperated from the group or in the back.

Quick Notes and Tips

Focus on leveling Wild Storm (3)
When you can't level Wild Storm (3), do Dragon Call (2)
Water Illusion (1) should only be used to escape, and leveled third

Mid game (End game as well) you will want to use your presence has a threat/tactical advantage. Simply putting pressure on the back column of enemies or flanks will help your teammates tremendously. When pressuring an enemy, you will want to watch for certain things. If the bulk of the enemy group is focused on your team, watch for an openning to attack a weak character or a straggler. If the guardian is focused on you and watching you, but the enemy team is skirmishing vs your team.. simply pressure him, turn around, use Water Illusion (1) run towards the group and start swinging. HOPEFULLY, your team will notice this and notice their guardian is confused trying to find you and advances as well.

Essential Information

TAKE NOTE OF WHICH ENEMY HAS WHICH RELIC

Sanctuary, can be used to protect VS your ultimate/execution
Meditation, can be used to increase health above execution point

Always stall for a second before executing if the enemy has one of these, but if you have no other choice and need to kill an enemy to get out.. make sure you hit this AS SOON as you see the [X] so your enemy doesn't have time to react if he uses it just use the confusion to GET OUT.

Water Illusion should NOT be used to move in, you will leave yourself no way to get out and will most likely perish. There are VERY VERY few situations you should ever use it to move in, such as:
Enemy team is predominately melee based characters, and a range character is straggling/hasn't noticed you.
Entire team but one is pressuring you, use this to run right through them and kill the straggler.

My logic (Build Defense)

So, I've gotten many people that critize my build in the middle of the games. The meta is the more magical power THE BETTER. Right? Wrong. HOLD ON TO YOUR UNDERWEAR. ITS TIME FOR MATH.

Lets look at the stats on my build.

The things people usually notice first is the insanely high attack speed but the very low magic power/basic attack damage.

Here are the stats on the recommended build, which mostly everyone follows.

The thing you should note here is that it's magical power is decent though not the best.

Lets do a quick DPS calculations, we'll take in the items in consideration excluding penetration later. For the sake of these calculations we'll speculate that right now, you are using Water Illusion (1) to move in on an enemy and burst him down using Dragon Call(2) -> Wild Storm (3) -> Basic Attacks until Water Illusion (1) is off cool down again. Essentially 16~ seconds of damage.

Side by Side comparison (Recommended top, mine bottom)

DPS
(Basic Attack Damage)*(Attack Speed)=?
200*1.39=278
134*2.34=313.56

Dragon's Call
[(Magical Power)*(Multiplier)]+(Base)=x*(6 Dragons)
481*0.3=144.3+95=1,435.8
255*.03=76.5+95=1,029

Wild Storm
(Base)+[(Magical Power)*(Multiplier)]=?
290+(481*.04)=482.4
290+(255*.04)=392

Results
1,435.8+482.4+(278*16)=6,366.2
1,029+392(313.56*16)=6437.96

That seems pretty pointless right? A marginal difference that you will never notice in the battlefield.. Until you take into consideration the items.

Recommended:
Now.. lets say the enemy has 2k HP, so Soul Reaver would do 300 Damage on the initial ability. Lets also say you time it perfectly so that the Polynomicon triggers twice. Making your basic do 75% of your magical power (481) so it does 560.75 on the basic with the basic's damage included x2. You just did an additional 1,121.5 damage.

My Build:
Only item that matters... is the ring. 35 additional damage per basic hit doesn't seem like a lot but when your attack speed is 2.34 that little damage means a lot. In 16 seconds you'll be able to hit 37.44 times, multiply that by the 35 additional damage... you just did an additional 1,310.4 without even having to time anything. Just hold down your left click.

Results:
7,487.7 (Recommeneded)
7,748.36 (My Build)

While the difference is marginal, I simply wanted to defend my build in case anyone wanted to judge and speculate on it. If you found anything wrong with my calculations feel free to tell me.

If you don't believe me that this build works... well the proof is in the pudding.

Never build attack speed on Ao Kuang. Because with power build u can just one shot every mage/adc/assasin. U think this build is good because u are not level 30 and u get placed in match vs not so good players.
