As far as I've seen lately Contagion and Pest are both not used super highly right now, though it obviously depends on situation. If you're facing Hades + Herc + multiple anti-heal one of the two might be fine (with an edge to Pest), but there are just a lot of other items that are preferred right now.

In this situation, Achilles is obviously a more aggressive god and so Kriega is opting for BBS. You might get Cont/Pest on a Supp, but there are still other items that are more popular. Most common prot items you'll see right now are prob:

Maybe Kriega can correct me if I'm not quite on with this list.

Your next priorities would probably be items like BoV, Bulwark, Genji, Heartward, Oni, Magi's Cloak, etc. If you've got some healing maybe Fae-Blessed.

Manti isn't as much of a priority lately same for Pridwen but they're both buildable. Thebes and Spirit Robe should be built pretty much every match in Support atm, usually Spectral too.
