Introduction

Hey guys, this is my first guide, and I was looking at the He Bo guides that are out there and I did not see one that fit how I thought had the best build and advised how to play most effectively, so I decided to make my own. He Bo is a devastating god and If one can use his passive correctly he can do massive damage with his abilities.

Items

As with most mages in mid lane one would want to start off with Vampiric Shroud and boots. Then go with warlock's Sash to give him some extra health and magical power that I find very useful. One would always want to get this as soon as one finishes boots so it can have max stacks as quickly as possible. I also found that Chronos's Pendant was useful so that it is easier to use his passive and his water spout is available more often. Rod and Chronos's also give He Bo some much needed mana regeneration.

Skills

To use his passive most effective cast three skills and that way the skills have the most magical scaling. For example even if your Atlas of the Yellow River might not help directly cast it before using your other skills to do more damage. His Water cannon is very effective early game because it does more base damage early game and uses less mama than water spout. The Atlas of the Yellow River is a simple skill to use when trying to get some where faster, keep in mind that it does also increase the movement speed of allies and slow enemies. The Water spout is He Bo's only source of CC so but is very effective. He Bo can quickly turn around many 1 on 1 situations using the Water spout to knock up enemies and then damage them with his water cannon. He Bo's ult is very damaging if one casts all three of his other abilities to maximize his passive and then using his ult. As He Bo try to not use his ult unless you have used your other abilities before hand to make sure it does the massive damage that it can. Also keep in mind that his ult can be used to escape quickly if needed.
