I would try messing around with the settings, try putting everything on low, then medium, etc and see if high graphical demand is causing the glitch. Some settings don't like to reset automatically and closing and reopening Smite can be a pain, but if you switch from windowed to full screen it should reload everything.
Like Stuke99 said, reinstalling helps, as well as using the troubleshooter in the launcher.
Finally, make sure your computer is running the game on its graphics card, rather than another processor. I would give a description of how to do this, but it varies by OS, graphics card, etc so you will have to figure it out for yourself.
