Riddles

So, I thought to myself, if we're at it, why not? I mean, we are making a game for basically everything. Let's make on the will make us think a bit more.

Here's how it goes; Someone makes a riddle. No one is allowed to post another riddle until the current one has been solved. If it'll end up very hard to solve them, we can add the number of characters in that solution and perhaps the starting letter. I'll start:

They wear a cap, but have no head.
They grow, but are not plants.
When cooked, they scream, but have no mouths.

Who are they?

Mushrooms? Sizzling in a pan could sound like a scream. I dunno.

Roses are red. Violets are blue. My fart is purple. How about you?
