The producers have blessed us with all four remaining episodes at once! And let me say, they were excellent. Very minor qualms aside, it was absolutely spectacular.
If you've never watched the Avatar series, I highly recommend that you do, starting with the first season of Avatar: The Last Airbender. If you have been up-to-date with Korra, but have not yet seen the final four episodes, you can access them by clicking the following links:
The two-part finale, consisting of "Darkness Falls" and "Light in the Dark," might be taken down soon before being re-uploaded next Friday - I'm not sure. However, the first two links should never break.
I think I might actually be changing my Gravatar to a certain image shown in the final episode...we'll see tomorrow!
have never seen any episode of Avatar. Only the movie. And it was **** :/
But I'm not comparing the movie to the cartoon. So here's my question: Is the cartoon more kid orientated like it has more of scene development like to much battle scenes and less character/story development or is it the opposite?
I'm a bit interested in watching.

I used to watch Avatar long ago. Never thought about watching Korra. It was so long ago, that I don't even remember the Lore or some characters.
My question is, is that Korra series worth watching, even if I didn't remember how the Avatar series were? Or will I have to watch Avatar all over again to understand Korra?
Oh believe me, MadDanny: any fan of the Avatar series knows that the movie does not exist. Forget about it! As for the actual series, It's got both character development and (excellent) battle scenes, but the first season of Avatar: The Last Airbender is fairly slow to start. The second, and especially third season (all episodes, and a perfect finale), were where it really shined.
As for Korra, you can jump straight into it at the first season if you want something faster-paced. If you want the whole story, you'll want to start with the first season of Avatar: The Last Airbender. But again, it is fairly slow to start.
@Max: the finale was scheduled for next friday, but Nick had a little sponsorship where if a certain post about Korra was re-blogged enough times, they would air it at midnight (which they did). It was awesome.
There are things you won't be able to appreciate, Dark Jaw, if you don't remember the original series. However, especially after the end of this season, Korra has proven to be able to stand on its own!
Basically, the original cycle is broken,* but as Korra has recombined with Raava, she has started it anew. Essnetially, she's Wan version 2.0. There are two more seasons scheduled, and I can't wait to see how different the world is now that
Super Spoiler
The physical and spiritual world are no longer separated. The Avatar is no longer the bridge between the world, but he/she will still instill and restore balance.
*
And I'm glad
*The fact that one of the major ties to the original series is now broken, Korra 100% stands on its own as an superb series.
