New in SMITE: Nemesis
by Hirez Maria | Feb 06, 2014

Nemesis

SCALES OF FATE (Passive)

Nemesis holds the scales of balance. Hitting enemies with basic attacks tips the scales in her favor, reducing her target’s physical and magical power and increasing hers (stacking). Power Gain: 5% per hit. Power Loss: 5% per hit. Max Stacks: 3.

Swift Vengeance

Nemesis dashes in a line, dealing damage to enemies in her path and may dash again within 2s. Damage: 50/80/110/140/170 (+50% of your physical power). Cost: 50/60/70/80/90. Cooldown: 14s.

Slice and Dice

Nemesis swings her blade, dealing damage in an area in front of her. Enemies in the center of her swing are struck for 2x damage and slowed for 2s. Damage: 40/65/90/115/140 (+50% of your physical power). Slow: 50%. Cost: 60/65/70/75/80. Cooldown: 7s.

Retribution

Nemesis activates a temporary shield around herself that protects her from all incoming damage for a duration. Nemesis heals for a percentage of damage that was mitigated and a percentage of any damage received from gods and minions while the shield is active is reflected back to the source (pre-mitigation). Hard crowd control will terminate the shield. Damage Reflect: 30/35/40/45/50% of damage received. Healing: 30/35/40/45/50% of damage received. Duration: 1s. Cost: 60/65/70/75/80. Cooldown: 12s.

Divine Judgement

Nemesis chooses a single enemy god, reducing their health and movement speed and stealing a portion of their protections for a time period. Her movement speed is also increased during this time. Damage: 30/35/40/45/50% of current HP. Protections: 30/35/40/45/50%. Move Speed: 30/35/40/45/50%. Target Default Duration: 5s. Nemesis Buff Duration: 10s: Cost: 90/95/100/105/110. Cooldown: 90s.

New Skins:

- Red Star Athena and Winter Olympian Athena

- SPECIAL NOTE: Purchase the Red Star Athena skin before Monday, February 24 (noon GMT) and receive the exclusive Winter Olympian Athena skin for free. After February 24, the Winter Olympian skin will no longer be obtainable.

- No Mercy Nemesis

- Obsidian Shard Ymir has had his FX updated.

- Nu Wa Golden

- All gold skins have been modified to use roughly the same hue in the same value range as the Sun Wukong gold skin.

General

- German, French and Spanish translations are now available in a VERY EARLY “BETA” state. This means that the translations will be mostly comprehensive, but you may find some missing translations, as well as a variety of issues with specific translations (including translated text being too long for the allocated space). Please report any translation anomalies. To switch your language, select your preferred language on the top bar of the game launcher.

- A new tab has been added to the PLAY screen for CO-OP PvE matches. This contains options for Co-Op Arena, 3v3 Joust and Assault. These matches run on a timer, like Normal matches. When the timer pops, you will be matched into matches with humans on your side and bots on the other side. At times, you may be matched with some friendly bots on your side, to balance out uneven sides (based on the number of people in queue when the timers end). The queue gives normal match rewards for XP and Favor. The PRACTICE tab on the PLAY screen now contains only “solo” matches, which includes the Tutorial, Joust 1v1 and Jungle Practice.

- Queue names have been standardized across the different tabs of the play screen.

- The in-match HUD and Chat have had a variety of UI updates and bug fixes, including:

- The HUD notifications (kills, item purchases, etc) have undergone artistic modifications.

- Several artistic modifications and bug fixes have been made to the chat window.

- Fixed an issue in which players could lose their mouse cursor.

- Fixed poorly formatted matches in some cases (deicide, etc).

- Minor visual changes have been made to the respawn timers when in deathcam.

- The on-boarding process for new users (below Level 6) has been modified some. Players now go through a structured flow involving the Tutorial plus two Co-op matches until they reach Level 3 and are able to play Normal matches if desired. Tutorial videos are also shown when first launching the Arena, Conquest and Assault game types.

- The end of match lobby on the Tutorial screen and in Solo/Co-op matches now shows XP and Favor rewards in a more intuitive fashion.

- The Attack the Minotaur voice command has been modified to Attack the Titan. Some voicepacks may still not be updated. It is still [VAM].

- If a human player leaves a Co-Op match, a bot on the enemy side will now also leave the match.

- The Deserter System has undergone significant backend changes aimed at closing some holes and bugs in the current system.

- The default reticule has been changed to the circle (was the “X”).

- The match-making logic for Conquest matches has been modified some.

- Lowered the game’s memory utilization significantly, which should improve performance and reduce some crashing on some PCs.

- Players can now set a custom status that is visible to their friends through the friend’s list.

- The visual presentation of the bracket on the Highlight and Bracket targeter option has been modified (now red).

- Party information has been removed from the match details screen.

- Fixed an issue in which the Assault Towers were showing the wrong icon on their healthbar.

- Fixed an issue in which the friends list would show an incorrect mastery level for your friends.

- The ESC key will now close the PARTY window.

Spectator

- Fixed an issue where synced spectators sharing cameras could get stuck on a view target.

- Rank 1 cooldown increased from 60s to 90s.

- Updated description to remove references to the Minotaur.
