Guides suggest items that are not showing for that GOD

Greetings,

I've never played a game like this but found it on ps4 and really liked the Hunter, Neith.

I've been playing around with other characters and pulling up guides to try to learn builds etc, but I'm finding something odd about the guilds. They are as recent as a week and there are items in there that I cannot seem to find for my character.

For a god like Apollo, it kept suggesting a dagger to start off with and then a Gold Bow. I could not find either in his item list.

Then I found an old guide from 2014 here in the forums

and it lists Book of Thoth and Polynomican and I cannot find either of these. This is happening a lot so I figured it is due to the type of game I have installed?

It's confusing as I'm trying to learn what each item does and the guides are showing different items and I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong.

Throwing dagger/golden bow have literally just been removed from the game in the most recent patch, I believe.

Book of Thoth and polynomicon are definitely still in the game though. Where are you looking for them specifically, as there are several sections in the store, and you may be looking in the wrong place.

Yeah, the patch 3.12 is not LIVE yet, so Throwing Dagger and Golden Bow should exist and be available to Apollo.

Also, every item listed in the Kukulkan build should be available as well.

Are you playing on PC, or console ?
Because we once had someone on console who post something about issues trying to find an item.

You guys were right, there are r1 and L1 options that flip through pages.. being new I had no clue until I started just pressing buttons to see what they do :)
