Hey guys, I am very very new to smite. I have downloaded and installed the client but have not yet played. I understand the rules and mechanics of a MOBA, but I was wondering which of the free gods to start off with?? I thought the idea of Bakasura was awesome, namely eating minions for buffs, and then vomiting them up, but I want your opinions on which God is best for a new player??

Find out your playstyle first. It could really matter depending on whether or not to know which role fits you. Since you're mentioning that you like a physical AD. Try out someone like Kali or Wukong.

Ok, if it helps, when I play RPGS like Skyrim, Dragon Age and various others, I usually prefer the stealthy, rouge class that can perform silent kills and move flawlessly through the environment.

Yeah, check his abilities. Invisibility that also serves as a speed boost, as well as huge damage bursts. An ultimate that can escape as well as kill. Just play smart against opponents especially Bakasura. Gank then hide, Guirella tactics.

If you like stealth/ganking or maybe even jungling good gods are: Loki,Kali, Wukong, Arachne and Bakasura

I wouldn't recommend Bakasura if you are new to Smite. He relies heavily on his lane partner in the laning phase, as he has no CC of his own, and can't solo a lane, other than the occasional mid. However, his jungling is above average due to his eat minion.
Rep me up if I helped!
