I'm new to Smite and would like to know what god/s would suit my playing style. I like being a defensive player that can deal average damage and supports the team. I would prefer to deal magical damage and be a ranged attacker if possible. Thank for any help.

Yeah Hades (or possibly Zhong Kui) is a good call, but honestly I think you'll be much better off picking a warrior or an aggressive guardian (like Xing Tian or Bacchus) if you want to be supporting the team, but still dealing damage. You'd be giving up ranged attacks, but you'll have much better or more versatile tool kits for doing what you wanted to do.

SmiteFire & Smite

Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat.
