I'm new to the game, and there have been a couple times after a match that the game said "You have obtained" then it would show a picture of a blue crystal. What is it, what do I do with it. I cannot find it anywhere.

you might be seeing the 50 favor image from wining a practice joust with a god for the first time

Uh...

When you win a practice joust with a god for the first time, you get a 50 favor bonus. It looks like Gem of Gaia, almost. That's probably what you're seeing.

P.S. start playing actual games instead of practice jousts, the ra bot really is ****.

SmiteFire & Smite

Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat.
