Suggestion for future Nordic Gods.

Hello all !

After doing some research on the Nordic pantheon (these are legends I prefer!)
This is my opinion for future Nordic gods in smite :

AEGIR / AEGE (male) :Gods of the oceans, it could be a mage specializing in water (as HE BO) or Melee/mage as Freya.

ULL / ULLR (male) or SKADI (female): Ull groom Skadi, both being gods of hunting and winter could be ranged fighter with bows or crossbows (like Artemis) and having Cold CC as YMIR.

BALDER (male): Being the god of light, Balder should logically be a support, maybe mage/support or tank/support, he is the paladin of the Nordic pantheon.

MAGNI (male) or MODI (male): Sons of Thor and Jarnsaxa, formidable Berserkers Fighters, therefore probably Melees and very very dangerous fighters.

TYR (male): Son of Odin and Frigg, Tyr is the god of war and justice, Tyr will be a pure tank with a shield and probably a spear , in my opinion Tyr being the god of warriors, it can be the strongest tank before Ymir and Ares.

Here the gods (I guess) sucseptible joining smite, I have no contact with Hi-Rez, I just did some research on the Scandinavian pantheon, because I love it.

I just think they'll pick gods who people know from other medias first

like Xblanque looks like a thundercat so people kinda already like him
hercules has his own disney show
every greek god from God of war/saint seiya
gods marvel has used

after that they'll add the lesser gods

I mean Xblanque is only in there for the mayan doomsday XD
otherwise hercules would have been in the game

but I cant give specific gods
i like too many of them :p

I quite agree with your vision of the game evolution, for return to the Nordic gods, so there are currently:

Thor: Tank / dps
Freiya: Mage / melee
Ymir: Tank / support?
Loki: Melee / assassin
Odin: Tank / dps?
and Hel: Mage / support

So, logically, the next should be a Melee / DPS (MODI plzzz XD) or a pure mage as Aegir, although I think (like you) that will be added on the long run.

I doubt Aegis has anything to do with Aegir a god/giant of the sea. In general, the word aegis just represents something with protective properties.

If anything they shouldn't add Hercules based off of this logic since he wears Hide of the Nemean Lion all day, everyday. He was the one who killed it and skinned it.

Alright. I understand what you mean but I think it is equally odd to have God specific items in game that any God can use.

The Hide of the Nemean Lion might as well be "Hercules' Armor" to me. It would be similar to adding Mjolnir ( Thor's hammer) as an item any God could buy.
