No Geb picks in SPL?

I'm pretty curious to why Geb has gotten not many (if any) picks in the SPL currently. It seems that mostly aggressive guardians like ares, sobek, or ymir are being used in the team comps. Anyone know the reason why Geb is getting no love? :/



edit: I would think he would get more popularity due to his passive countering crit meta

I did a little research asking streamers what they think, and they said that it was because his laning phase sucks :P

I think it's because it's easier to use an aggressive guardian when you and your team are coordinated like most SPL teams are. Plus Ares, Sobek, and Ymir have better team fight potential over Geb. I like Geb, but I seem him as more of a "safe" pick for ranked and casual where you don't know the quality of your teammates.

Yeah I think Geb has only seen play in SCC not SPL so far. There's just better picks available that have more pressure right now, and some teams like to play heavy on early aggression.

SmiteFire & Smite

Smite is an online battleground between mythical gods. Players choose from a selection of gods, join session-based arena combat and use custom powers and team tactics against other players and minions. Smite is inspired by Defense of the Ancients (DotA) but instead of being above the action, the third-person camera brings you right into the combat.
