well, i am a bit of a fan of Mythology (one of the reasons i got this game), and because of thi i realized something about the design of Athena and Zeus:

they both have the same shield.

'what that's it? just the same shield?'. Well perhaps i should explain more:

the shield in question is an actual shield from Greek mythology known as aegis (like the name of Zeus' 2). This shield was owned by the gods, but was more commonly associated with Athena and Zeus.

But how do i know this is the same shield? Simple: after the slaying of Medusa, Her head was fixed into the shield, and it became the decoration at the center of the shield. Medusa's head is clearly visible on both the shields of Zeus and Athena.

What is the point of this conversation then? interesting lore perhaps, but still. Well i just want to know...

HOW THE HECK DO BOTH ZEUS AND ATHENA HAVE AEGIS! ITS OBVIOUSLY THE SAME SHEILD, SO HOW CAN IT BE IN TWO PLACES AT ONE TIME! WHAT INSANITY IS THIS!?! HI REZ, YOU HAVE EXPLAINING TO DO!

I do remember that Aegis was the shield of Athena, so I was surprised when I saw it on Zeus.

Hi-Rez changes mythology around constantly, for some reason. There are a lot of mythology fans here, so we feel your pain.

I know its not really an issue (because video game), but it was just a little thing i felt Hi Rez didn't think we would notice.

alternatively the head in Zeus' shield could come from one of the other gorgons, but it was just something i felt like bringing up.

If you can have Zeus fighting Zeus in the same space/time plane, then you can have two different people using the same shield.
