Domination Removal.

I really don't understand the logic in removing an additional option to the game modes available. Domination happens to be my favorite match type. I know my opinion is essentially worthless but i have been an avid fan since March of 2013 and have spent a good amount of money so far in the game. I guess i just don't see the reason they need to get rid of it, is there something that domination costs the company to keep running that they need to turn it off for? If so, please Hi-Rez I need a better explanation then your removing it because its "relatively unpopular" because I not once have had a problem getting a Domination match started. So I just really want Domination in the game it is my favorite along with many of my friends that i have brought to this game.
They say domination was removed because it had the lowest playerbase of the gamemodes.
So does Dominion in League of Legends. But that's irrelevant.
My question, is what POSITIVE gain can come from this?
It takes them no hassle to keep the gamemode - all programming has already been done. Obviously the people who hate the gamemode simply won't play it.
Yet a lot of people LOVE it. It's their favorite. So if something causes literally no detriment to the players OR the company, what logical reason is there for removing something that has no downside to being kept?
I just don't understand. The only reactions will be indifference or hatred. No one is going to be HAPPY that it's removed.
