Ever heard about the flying spaghetti monster? It's actually a parody on cults, Discribing a new cult about a flying spaghetti monster. They even have holidays as written in the wiki:"Pastafarian beliefs extend into lighthearted religious ceremony. Pastafarians celebrate every Friday as a holy day.[5] Prayers are concluded with a final declaration of affirmation, "R'amen" (or "rAmen"); the term is a parodic portmanteau of the terms "Amen" and "Ramen", referring to instant noodles and to the "noodly appendages" of their parodic deity.[6]" There's more about that monster in the wiki:

It's an interesting story.
It was a character created by a student in Kansas, for a protest against Kansas's school standards in science. They wanted to make it so it claimed that an "intelligent design" created the universe, as an alternative explanation of evolution. Because they didn't specify what a intelligent design is, the student created the Flying Spaghetti Monster in protest.
I remember this from doing research not too long ago. Also Fun Fact that student, I'm pretty sure put a colander on his head for his driver license photo, to paraquote,Prove his loyalty towards the Pastafarians. Also I think this was brought up in a Futurama episode when Farnsworth argues against some State Board of Education about their policies and beliefs about Evolution, specifically to an ape named, Banjo.

P.S. I did research on this, and believed in this "cult" for a week just to annoy my super religious friend to praise the Flying Spaghetti Monster! Mainly cause he would always say Bless the Lord, and other religious sayings, and try to convert me to Christianity.
