I began playing Smite on July 31st, 2015.
I had never played a MOBA in my life. I've never even heard of the word "MOBA". Yet, my friend (who has an account called "overld1") was constantly playing the Xbox One version of Smite Beta and continously kept on recommending the game for me. Finally, I gave in and started the Smite addiction.
At first, I knew nothing about the style of the game. I didn't know that the god classes played a factor in lane composition. But, I quickly learned about the style of the game and by October 2015, I win against my friend who has years of MOBA experience in a 1v1 Joust match half the time. That's my Smite experience; now, these words may sound out of place in a game such as Smite, but I suggest you follow them:

"There's a 3% difference between an average person and a great person. An average person looks at a mistake and says, 'Well, that sucked,' while a great person looks at a mistake and says, 'Well, that sucked, but what can I learn from that mistake?'"
