Tanky Zeus

This guide will be based mainly off of Joust players(Ranked or Casual)

Zeus is a low mobility mage with very high AOE damage. I've been messing around with different builds doing different calculations with armor and damage; to make him into a bruiser type of a character. This build will give Zeus more sustain in fights over-all making him more viable in joust and even more annoying to go against.

Start: When i start out in a ranked joust match i typically will try to rush warlocks. Yes, you will be an easier target but once you get your warlock's online you can build into your boots. After warlocks and boots go into magi's cloak, then Shamans ring. This will make you have the most sustain towards mid game. Lastly, you can either build into mantle or Bancroft's depending on the situation. I typically will build Mantle and then Bancroft's last for more sustain.



Core items:

Shamans Ring: The evolved version of this is broken on Zeus is broken, giving that it can stack percentage of damage taken from all sources for believe 5 seconds. This makes Zeus's kit stronger than it is ability wise making your 3 hit harder to finish off the enemy.

Traveler's Boots: These are perfect on Zeus in my opinion. Yes you can get cool-down boots or pen boots but id much rather have a lot of mobility early on because remember Zeus is low mobility so with these boots you can have a little bit better sustain and can push forward more while in lane if you're aggressive.

Warlocks: Now i know they just nerfed warlocks, but this item is still very viable in my opinion. The amount of health, damage and mana you receive is still broken in my outlook, so why not use it while you can ;). Anyways, this item gives Zeus even more sustain to build on top of all the armor you are building as well making him tankier and dealing more damage.

Magi's Cloak: This item is broken on Zeus making him immune to all cc for a duration. It is a must have when facing Baccus or Terra. Any god with high cc really!
